Did you know that the Sea Snorkel fills up the S-64 suppression firefighting tank without the assistance of a pump? By employing a hydrofoil, the tank is able to fill by fluid dynamics while flying over the water, creating such an efficient transfer that a 2,650 gallon tank is filled in under 30 seconds! Incorporating a hydrofoil design allows for smooth entry, exit from the water source, and provides stability while under the surface of the water, making the Sea Snorkel more efficient and safer during that flight envelope.

To Prevent pitot probes clogged due to melted pitot cover. - Using the approved Pitot probe covers - Protective covers can be installed 30 minutes after engines shut down as the probe heating is deactivated when engines are turned off. After a period of 15 minutes for the probe tip to cool to 70°C, it can take an additional 15 minutes to reach ambient temperature.
