Week of Achievements ... Week of Impact ... Week of Sanad Last week reflected part of the scale of the interventions and projects carried out by the Foundation, where there were a number of achievements and successes worth mentioning, especially since they were all crowned in one week! In my turn, as the Program Manager and Impact at the Foundation, I was happy to achieve these results with the great Sanad team, as the events extended to cover all the provinces and areas where we work, so that there were hundreds of ambitious and hardworking youth who were able to start their first steps in their different paths, through the various interventions we work on at the Foundation, from activating the positive role of youth in society to supporting them to enter the labor market, taking into account the digital, programming and technological orientation. We started the week of achievement with the programming competition for university youth in Damascus, and we were present in it as a supporting and strategic partner, in addition to the Syrian programming competition for young people, which is being held for the first time in Syria with the support and organization of the Foundation, which ended with the nomination of 3 teams to participate at the Arab level in Egypt in the Arab programming competition to work on starting their professional and creative paths in this field. Reaching Aleppo to conclude the Creative Show project, which worked to graduate more than 150 creative young people in different creative fields and select the winning teams after a learning journey that lasted for more than three months, during which young people became able to enter the labor market and reach the economic empowerment that every Syrian young man aspires to. And then the conclusion in Hama with a camp through which we conclude the project of young people Level 1000 in its second edition, which included 40 young leaders who are active and influential from different Syrian regions, we reached by the end of the camp to 9 community initiatives that the youth will work on during the coming period. Here and there are many ambitious and influential youth in the various paths that we draw with them and for them. And Sanad is always present for support. Thanks to all the program team in all parts of Syria and to the rest of the Sanadis for the great support and effort to achieve the impact and change that we aspire to, which we could not have achieved without their efforts and great determination. In the end of each project, the eyes of the youth and their joy with the development and progress they achieve is the driving force and source of energy for me and for every Sanadi, which drives us to continue despite all the challenges and difficulties.

📢 Exciting Announcement! 📢 Our research paper, "Exploring the impact of VoiceBots on Multimedia Programming Education Among Ghanaian University Students," is accepted for publication in the prestigious British Journal of Educational Technology British Educational Research Association (BERA) Our study, co-authored by my colleague Harry Barton Essel, investigates the impact of VoiceBots as a means to improve academic performance and students engagement in a context with high student-teacher ratio, where students may find it more difficult to access teaching staff for individual help and the overall quality of interaction between students and teaching staff might decrease. 🔍 Our research revealed that VoiceBots can serve as valuable learning assistants across various disciplines. 💡 These VoiceBots require zero coding, making them accessible for educational institutions with limited resources. 🚀 An innovative approach to enhance student engagement without the need for extensive technical expertise. The article is currently in production, and I am sharing this post to gauge interest in the topic, as posts like these can quickly get lost in the feed. 🚀 Breaking Boundaries with Play Championing! 🌟 I'm thrilled to share the incredible impact of the Play Championing project, which is all about learning through play and creating safe spaces for adolescent learning and future development! This project has reached over 4,000 teenage girls aged 10-12 in Zarqa and East Amman, along with 1,000 caregivers. and it has come to enhance the belief in the power of play to transform lives! 💡 Our focus is clear: to improve learning, development, and protection through play-based STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). We're not just teaching; we're fostering well-being and empowerment. 📚👩💻 Here's how we're doing it: 1️⃣ We're integrating quality play for learning and well-being. 2️⃣ We're enhancing the learning environment for STEM subjects. 3️⃣ We're targeting 4,000 girls aged 10-12, with 1,500 in robotics, 500 in programming, and 2,000 attending open days. 4️⃣ We're bridging the gap between Jordanians and refugees. Our outcomes are inspiring: -Integration of play for holistic learning and well-being. -Integration of mental health, psychosocial, and child protection support. -Building the capacity of community association facilitators to deliver STEM activities. But it doesn't stop there! We don’t get the opportunity to decide what happens to us in life all the time. Sometimes life throws at us what we can manage, and other times, it throws at us more than we can manage. Last year, on the 14th of February, some of my friends and I, (I will tag a few of them; Philip Oladimeji, AICMC, LL.B Oginni Temitope, AICMC) set out to a primary school in Makoko with the provisions we could gather from family and friends. We stepped out with the sole aim of contributing our quota to making the lives of the less privileged pupils at Makoko better. Upon getting to Makoko, we were welcomed with the warmest reception from these young ones. We engaged them in the activities we had planned for them. We shared the goodies we brought with them. We also catered to the academic needs of almost 100 children by providing writing materials and so on. There are a lot of things we learned from this outreach, but I will be sharing with us a few important things; This outreach made us realize that there is so much work that still needs to be done when it comes to providing an inclusive education for all. The learning environment was not conducive, and only 2 teachers were catering to the needs of almost 100 pupils. Amidst all the children we met, there is a girl whose face is unforgettable. Her name is Jacqueline. Jacqueline was and wasn’t part of the class. I believed she was at a disadvantage as her condition limited her ability to be a part of the activities going on in the class. This occurrence fueled my curiosity, and I began to research more about inclusivity in education. I went online, and on SDG Academy, I enrolled in a course titled “Equity and Inclusion in Education. This course opened my eyes to a lot of things that are wrong with our education system. I saw a problem that could be solved if the necessary work was put in place, and ACEEAi was birthed. ACEEAi is an acronym for Accessible and Equitable Education African Initiative. Our vision at ACEEAi is to create a thriving Africa where every child, regardless of their background or abilities, has the opportunity to receive a holistic and accessible education. And the truth is, there is always a Jacqueline in every classroom. It might not be a physical limitation; it could be a mental limitation, financial constraint, or level of understanding and assimilation. Today marks International Day of Education by the United Nations to celebrate the role of education for peace and development. Education is also essential for the success of the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; Goal 4 in particular aims to "ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all." In this spirit, we look at two of Jazz's key initiatives to contribute towards the education: Jazz Smart School Programme: Through this partnership with the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), and Knowledge Platform, the Jazz Smart School Programme introduced a smart learning solution to the traditional schooling system through a digital learning platform which positively impacted over 38,000 students and over 1,000 teachers on digital and blended learning solutions. 75 female high schools were digitally equipped through this programme. Collaboration with The Citizens Foundation (TCF): Through Jazz's partnership with TCF, over 16,000 schools are in process of up-gradation with the introduction of a blended learning curriculum, revamp of computer labs, and a digital school management in Pakistan. Over 12,000 TCF teachers will be trained to combine online educational materials with traditional place-based classroom methods to illustrate concepts that are described in textbooks, benefitting 250,000 students from the latest ed-tech initiatives. #JazzSuper4G #DunyaKoBataaDo #InternationalDayOfEducation

WE WON😭 I am so overjoyed! Thank you QS Quacquarelli Symonds for awarding Genius Education Zambia with a third place(Bronze) award at the 2023 QS Reimagine Education Awards and Conference under the category of Science of Learning. The 2023 awards have been so amazing with incredible globally acclaimed educational institutions and individuals. I'll share my favorite highlights in a separate post. We couldn't attend these awards in-person but we are so thrilled to receive this FIRST AWARD for our organization. We've never been awarded before. THIS FEELS SO GOOD! This means so much to us! This comes at such a great time when we are literally launching the first product of our Project 4IR. Under this project, we've gathered our data from the past 5 years and placing it into a curriculum that will ignite Genius potential of Zambian youth. Our curriculum applies Neuroscience to Cognitive sciences to interconnect loops amongst 5 topical areas: 1. Creativity and Innovation 2. Design and Engineering 3. 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies 4. Industry 5. Leadership and Ethics We've spent weeks working on illustrations and concepts that will go into book 1 of the Junior Level. In the Junior book 1, we have taught the connections between creativity, imagination, innovation, design, engineering, industry and leadership to kids! For the overall curriculum, we are teaching over 10 programming languages beginning with SCRATCH programming. We are teaching AI, Robotics, VR/AR, etc in a way that Zambian learners will understand and enjoy. We've piloted and tested it during our STEM CAMPS and now we're simply doing final edits of the first book. It's a culmination of months of work and thought processes. We wanted to create something that a Zambian child can relate to, characters that can come alive through animation and concepts that can be translated into Zambia's official 7 local languages. So much heart and soul. My love for education transcends everything. I've been advocating for better education outcomes for over 10 years. Thank you to the communities that rally behind us, our incredible partners such as U.S. Embassy Zambia and The World Bank. We truly believe that "Genius" isn't a person but a process, a process that can be demystified and taught. https://lnkd.in/eA4EerMg The Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) is on a journey to support dramatic increases in the numbers of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis (FNIM) teachers in Canada by 10,000, focusing on K-12 educators. Beginning in 2023, the RHF will deliver funding aimed at building capacity in the teacher education sector and by investing strategically in innovative projects coast to coast to coast that reflect pathways for real change. We are inviting expressions of interest through a Letter of Intent (by Sept 30) and Full Proposal (by November 3). KEY THEMES The 2023 RFP invites project submissions across four priority themes that have risen to the surface through coast to coast to coast listening and learning sessions: 1) Language: Because teacher education programming that emphasizes FNIM language preservation, revitalization, and promotion will both encourage more Indigenous teachers into the profession, and support and sustain teachers in the field. 2) Land: Because land-based learning can be integrated into FNIM teacher education, as a means of encouraging more teachers into the profession and supporting and sustaining existing FNIM teachers in the profession. 3) Leadership: To prioritize FNIM leadership development opportunities within the education sector, both to encourage and support Indigenous leadership and systemic decision-making capacity in the field of education, and to provide for greater long term mentoring pathways for new FNIM teachers. 4) Love: To provide support for programming that reflects a caring, inclusive, and compassionate learning environment within FNIM teacher education. Interested applicants are invited to submit proposals up to a maximum of $2,000,000 for multi-year projects. Successful projects must: Be Indigenous-led and truly innovative; Have a measurable connection towards a goal of adding 10,000 FNIM teachers across Canada; and Describe how the project reinforces the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action related to education. I Geek STEM Education Kenya 1. Introduction: "I Geek STEM Education Kenya" is an innovative community-driven initiative focused on promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education across Kenya. Coordinated by Siaya Stem Hub, this project aims to enhance STEM education awareness, engagement, and implementation within the context of Kenya's new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). 2. Objectives: Awareness Enhancement: Increase public awareness about the critical role of STEM education in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovation among Kenyan students. Curriculum Alignment: Align the principles and goals of STEM education with the new Competency-Based Curriculum to ensure seamless integration and relevance. Community Engagement: Engage parents, educators, local communities, and relevant stakeholders to collectively support and prioritize STEM education initiatives. Student Empowerment: Empower students by creating an environment that encourages active participation in STEM-related activities, fostering a passion for inquiry and discovery.
