EVIDENCE OF LAST JEWISH REVOLT/GALLUS REVOLT FOUND IN LOD, ISRAEL (351-354 CE). For the very first time, evidence has been found in Lod from the Gallus Revolt, the last Jewish resistance against Roman rule. The dramatic discovery – a large public building, in whose foundations a 1650-year-old hoard was hidden, will be publicized in a new book commensurate with the annual Central Israel Region Archaeological Conference, open to the public free of charge. An excavation on Nordau Street in Lod, led by the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Lod Municipality, uncovered a public building from the Late Roman—Early Byzantine period that suffered violent destruction. Its foundations held 94 silver and bronze coins dating between 221—354 CE, which were deliberately placed there – in the hopes of returning to collect them when the situation would calm. The latest coins are dated from the time of the Gallus Revolt (351-354 CE). Though written evidence is sparse regarding this revolt, there are texts reporting that major Jewish communities such as Lod, Zipori and Tiberias were destroyed by the forces of Roman Ceasar Flavius Constantinus Gallus. https://lnkd.in/eBiag_M3 The city of Aššur and Nineveh (modern-day Mosul), which was the oldest and largest city of the ancient Assyrian empire,[9] together with a number of other Assyrian cities, seem to have been established by 2600 BC. However it is likely that they were initially Sumerian-dominated administrative centres. In the late 26th century BC, Eannatum of Lagash, then the dominant Sumerian ruler in Mesopotamia, mentions "smiting Subartu" (Subartu being the Sumerian name for Assyria). Similarly, in c. the early 25th century BC, Lugal-Anne-Mundu the king of the Sumerian state of Adab lists Subartu as paying tribute to him.[10]

#luo #hebrew 'Aungo woud Awendo' means Aungo son of Awendo.. Aungo is a descendant of "Ungo'; the 'A' signifies a female descendant. Male descendant is 'Oungo' Luo names are ancient cities, tribes, royalty, rivers/lakes and herbs, e.g; Ounga was a Phoenician and Carthaginian colony under the name Māqōm Ḥadash[4] (Punic: 𐤌𐤒𐤌𐤇𐤃𐤔, mqmḥdš, "New Place"). The coastal town was the intersection of the road from Carthage to Tacape and the road branching off to Sufetula. After the Punic Wars, the area fell under Roman control. The name was latinized to Macomades. It was variously distinguished from the Macomades in present-day Algeria as Macomades Minores ("Lesser Macomades") during the early empire and as Macomades Iunci, Iunca, Lunci, or Lunca under the later empire. The name of the city changed in the 4th century. In ancient times, Ounga was the site of Christian activity that produced various religious buildings. Accordingly, it maintained relations with other cities such as Carthage. Historians, such as Tunisian archaeologist Zainab Benzina, state that a representative of the city of Younga, the bishop Valentinianus, attended the Council of Carthage (412). In addition, the city hosted a provincial council in 524. Remains of the Roman town include three Byzantine basilicas,[9] city ramparts, a citadel, a vaulted cistern and crypts. Some of the remains show Coptic influence. The citadel was identified in 1944 by French archaeologist Louis Poinssot as the place described by Arab geographers Al Bakri and Al-Idrissi under the name of Kasr er-Roum (Castle of the Romans). It was transformed in the 9th century by the Aghlabids, who modified the upper part of the walls. Poinssot identifies Younga as the new name of the city of Macomades Minores, also called Macomades Lunci or Lunca. [Awendo] Awendaw (/ˈɔːwɪndɔː/ AW-win-daw) is a small fishing town in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. Luos with names starting with 'A' are Agundas; families who made it out through the daughters of their fathers, e.g Brazilians in Nigeria, Amaros or Agudas consist of the descendants of freed Afro-Brazilian slaves who left Brazil and settled in Nigeria. The name Agunda is most commonly occurring in Kenya. Awendo is a sister to 'Owendo'; they were Scottish Jacobites who were enslaved in America, following Jacobites defeat. [Owendo] The Owendoher River (Irish: An Dothra Bheag, i.e. "The Little Dodder") is a small river in southern County Dublin, Ireland, the largest tributary of the River Dodder, and a part of the River Liffey system. Owendale is a village in Huron County of the U.S. state of Michigan. Owenton is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Owen County, Kentucky, United States Owenton was founded in 1822 and named for its county, which was named for Col. Abraham Owen, a pioneer who died at the Battle of Tippecanoe. The town was first incorporated on December 18, 1828, although it had to be reincorporated in 1849

ISRAEL… “TO BE, OR NOT TO BE: THAT IS THE QUESTION” By Graham daniels The indisputable connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel, the land promised to the people of Israel. In my last post, Mr. Graham Daniels, attached this fabulous instructive article to his response. The article is backed by evidence, and its locations and archaeological finds are known and recognized by experts worldwide. The facts in the article are supported by 90 footnotes that reference reliable sources. On the basis of these sources, this precise summary was written about the indisputable connection between the Jewish people and the land of their ancestors, which is the Holy Land—the promised land to the Jewish people known in history and today as Israel. Please find below some key points from the article. However, I strongly recommend that you read the entire article: "...As best can be determined, historical records place the 12 original tribes of Israel in the land of Israel circa 1271BCE. 2 This sits well with Merneptah Stele 3 dated 1205 BCE, which is a secular Egyptian reference to a people known as “Israel.”According to the Torah, 4 at that time the designated land boundaries of Israel (aka The Promise Land and Holy Land) covered a much larger territory than the Israel of today and stretched “from the river of Mits’rayim 5 as far as the river, Perat.6” This land holding included parts of modern day Sinai, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. When in Lebanon, I was to learn first hand the common knowledge among Lebanese, that they live in part of what was known as “The Promise Land”- and how beautiful it is. Prior to the Israelites, this portion of land was referred to as Canaan... ..The tribes of Israel as a unified force, joined in the quest for this portion of land, and eventually succeeded as the victors, exactly as was prophesied to Abram 8, his son Isaac 9, and his son Jacob.10 Jacob’s name was changed to Israel...thus Canaan became Israel..." "...Archaeological finds reveal much about Israel’s successes and failures...The ancestral roots of today's Jews to the Holy Land reach back 3 millennia. Events since the establishment of the Israelites in what was Canaan, can be found in various historical, religious, political and archeological sources, written by both friends and enemies of Israel, recording the good, the bad, and the ugly of the journey of these people, the Israelites/Jews 17, right into the 2020’s. It is relevant that there has never been a time since 1271BCE when there have been no Jews living in their ancestral land. Since entry to Canaan until the glory days of a United Kingdom of Israel (1047-930BCE) with Kings Saul, David and Solomon, there has been a continuity of Jews in the Land of Israel. Even when Israel was successfully invaded by foreign powers, with severe displacements resulting in a reduction of Jews in the Land, there were never none."

🌟 Monumental Discovery in Jerusalem 🌟 Explore an archaeological find of exceptional importance to two of the world's greatest monotheistic religions — the Pool of Siloam. Unearthed in the City of David, this site has profound significance not only in verifying historical accounts but also in reinforcing the shared spiritual heritage of Jews and Christians alike. This is one of the sites that the The Royal Hashemite Court (Jordan) wanted to hide when they built out the neighborhood of Silwan without regard for historical or even biblical significance. The Pool of Siloam was once a cornerstone of Jerusalem's ancient water system, dating back to the reign of King Hezekiah. More importantly, it is a site corroborated by Biblical accounts, including the miracle performed by Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of John. In an Interview with Fox News TV Ze'ev Orenstein, Director of International Affairs at the City of David Foundation, perfectly captured the essence of this groundbreaking discovery, emphasizing that it bridges "the realms of faith and factuality." As the world continues to grow more skeptical of religious and historical traditions, finds like these serve as irrefutable evidence that nourishes both our faith and our understanding of the past. Read more in our latest article and feel free to share your thoughts. Let's celebrate this incredible milestone in the excavation and documentation of our shared heritage. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dxY-Y6jx #Archaeology #Jerusalem #PoolOfSiloam #FaithAndHistory #CityOfDavid #JewishHeritage #ChristianHeritage #SharedHeritage #EmpiricalFaith #ReligiousUnity
