Herber Aircraft Service, Inc.’s Post

Today, we celebrate the life of our Founder, Bruce Wayne Herber. Bruce was a great leader, colleague, mentor, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was a very generous person, giving of himself to the Aerospace Industry, communities, and many people in his life. He enjoyed riding horses, flying airplanes, driving fast cars, barbecuing for staff at Herber Aircraft, and spending time with friends and family, especially his 3 grandkids. Bruce lived life fully and enjoyed his passions to his last day. Bruce founded Herber Aircraft Service, Inc., in 1978, with minimal funding and a desire to make high quality Aerospace Products, and was a pioneer in manufacturing hoses. I had the pleasure of working for Herber Aircraft for 14 years. I will always remeber Bruce walking around the blocks for exercise and Always 🏃🏼♂️running from building to building. He was a down to earth guy who wore jeans and tennis shoes! He was very approachable and always complementing. I especially loved when he would Bar B Que and have me and Kathy assist him and allow me to taste test the food🤭. He always stopped by our cubicle to see how things were going. He was the heartbeat of Herber. He will be dearly missed. Fly high Mr. Herber you have earned your wings. 🙏🏾💙

It was a wonderful ceremony today and reflected the man that it honored.  It was a privilege to have met Bruce and to sit with him during several dinner meetings and just talk about a variety of topics.

To the Herber’s, sorry for your loss of a great man. Bruce is the person that got me into this crazy world called aviation sales. Herber was my first sales, and many years later I find myself working with Herber again supporting them as our distributor. Thoughts and prayers to the Herber family.

I just learned about Bruce's passing. My sincere condolences go out to Randy and his family. I met Bruce about forty years ago when I started my own business. He was very accommodating, and I will be forever grateful for that. Randy was still a little boy at the time, and his dad helped him assemble harnesses. Now, the business is very successful. I am honored to have known him. Thank you, and may he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear this, my deepest condolences to the whole Herber family.

I was sad to see this and hope that the Herber family, both at home and at work, are able to focus on the good memories they have of Bruce. I had the pleasure to work for Bruce during the early years of my career and always appreciated his support and guidance. A down to earth man who loved his company and the industry.

So sorry to hear about this, my deepest condolences to the Herber family.

In the mid 80's, I audited Herber Aircraft for my airline. I recall clearly the professional approach that Bruce Herber took with the management of his quality system. He maintained that over the decades since. A good man who will be missed.

I will appreciate him as long as I fly. Herber Teflon hoses are in my aircraft and I trust my life on them. Thank you, Bruce, forever.
