Together with the project partners, the Research Group Environmental Biotechnology and Bioenergy at ZHAW Institut für Chemie und Biotechnologie are researching and improving this promising technology. Closed nutrient cycles can replace significant amounts of mineral fertiliser in Switzerland. In a future bio-based economy, the provision of recycled organic fertiliser will be a significant building block. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a conference on digitalisation in the health sector "Samarbeid om digitale helsetjenester" organized by NHO Geneo, and it was a great experience in more ways than one. The conference not only offered valuable insights into digital healthcare services but also exemplified the art of event organization. It's not just about securing top-notch speakers and relevant topics; it's about weaving them together into a captivating narrative. From the structured topics to the role of each speaker, every element played a part in creating a seamless and engaging experience for attendees. However, my highlight in 2024 is the World Congress of IMEKO - International Measurement Confederation end of August in Hamburg, Germany. Over 800 scientists, colleagues and (I might say) friends are expected to meet in person and discuss advances in measurement science and quality infrastructure.
