TL;DR: My goal is to bring you more of my marketing knowledge along with some inside peeks into what we're doing to build our community here at SEJ. So come along for the ride if you like... I keep saying that I'm going to build my personal brand, that I'm going to start posting to social on a regular basis. I've signed up for courses to keep me accountable. I've written it on the to-do list. But the struggle is real folks. And you know what I mean. Because... ... like every other marketer out there, we're changing the way we do basically everything. And we're all grinding hard! I know you are, too... And, sure, I can look back and say, man I wish I would have done this differently. Or, why didn't I plan better for this or that? But, the bottom line, as someone reminded me yesterday, we can't sit in the past on the coulda, woulda, shoulda train, but just focus on where we need to go. And, right now, it's LFG time. It's my favorite time. The time when you're executing and seeing if you can move the needle. Playing with levers you know work, but also having the guts to go outside. What we do takes guts. To put our most creative and intentional ideas out there, hoping for the conversion. (My advice: Be brave and kind to yourself because either way you'll win or learn.) I'm doing some really cool things at SEJ and I want to tell you about all of it because I know it would be helpful to my marketing friends out there listening. So, let it begin. My goal is to bring you more of my knowledge along with inside peeks into what we're doing to build our community here at SEJ. The most exciting part: It's so much more than thinking about how we drive more traffic or get more leads for ourselves and our sponsors. When I talk about 'we're changing the way we do basically everything', I'm talking about the we operate as internal teams to the way we approach our loyal readers and new ones we want to bring into our ecosystem. It's about providing a journey. I know that's right outta the marketing 101 textbook, but I think thru the years marketers have lost that personal touch that our community is demanding. So, share and follow if you'd like to hear more about how I'm evolving as a marketer, and how we're evolving here at SEJ! But right now, I have to go grind... I am so proud to be the expert on our webinar next week and I gotta build a deck. I'll be talking about lead gen, but as you can surmise from above, it's going to be a lot more than lead gen.
