This year, we gathered some of our brightest minds, split them into teams, and fueled them with plenty of nutritious food (and a few guilty pleasures). Their mission? To develop the next groundbreaking product that combines AI, data, and video. The winning team took home a cash prize! We held the final presentation of our internal hackathon today, and the innovative ideas of features we could implement in Virtuoso were all focused on the central theme: ✨Generative AI✨ Our panel of seven judges was composed of Andrew Doughty, our Co-Founder, James B., our VP of Solutions Engineering, Bruno Lopes, our VP of Product, Andy Dickin, our Global Partnership Manager, Tony Marks from Experian, Simon Stockdale from FNZ Group, and Mike Gibson from Ecclesiastical Insurance UK. While all six pitches that were presented had incredible value and came with demos that definitely had the wow factor, there had to be a winner. Of course, we can’t give away too many juicy details, but the winning idea, pitched by Kat S, Jesús Ángel G., Shubham Rohatgi, and Dhruva Vishwanath, was… 🥁 An authoring experience powered by GenAI! The main goal was to accelerate authoring to never-before-seen speeds, blowing away everyone watching as the team raced through authoring a test case at lightning speed. Bristol Tech Festival... what a delight! Plenty to learn and do last week - here are a few of my top reflections: 1) I kicked off the week with AMBITIOUS PR at their brand evolution event on Wednesday with some top reminders, including: 🤔 It's not enough to have a USP - you need proof points to validate it. 🔍 Staying anchored to your core values as they're the golden threads binding your brand. 💡 Being agile and recognising the external factors impacting your goals. Plus plenty more to think about. 2) Next up was Ghyston's breakfast event on Thursday - full of bright conversations on the topic of innovation and AI along with our technology leader James Parr. Super interesting to hear how other businesses are adopting AI and striking the balance between risk and reward. The opportunities are endless!🤯 3) Finally, Friday's session with Evelyn Partners on trends, efficiency and sustainability. A couple of interesting points for me; a discussion on the intersection of tech and culture, where the real transformation begins. And leveraging tech to achieve growth without increasing headcount. 🚀 Plus, my fun fact for the week...we spend 8-15% of our time copying and pasting information from one system to another. A fantastic weekend with brilliant team Abhyuday Luthra Stefany Peta Srivatsa Telkar Adrian Yan Jetnor Muhaj ! 🎉✨🥳We developed a mockup with Healthily API to tackle trust in AI-powered healthcare assessment in 48 hours. Challenge: Many users, even after an AI assessment suggests a GP visit isn't necessary, still book appointments due to a lack of trust. This not only leads to money and time waste for users but also strains the healthcare system. Our Solution: We proposed a compassionate chatbot that empowers users to make informed decisions regarding their health. Here's how: Humanised approach: we focused on a conversational and empathetic approach that addresses users' fears and concerns. Actionable guidance: Following the assessment, low-risk users were given clear guidance to relevant services such as pharmacies, self-care resources or mental health support in their local area. Building trust through transparency: We used the COM-B model to identify the factors and barriers that build user trust in AI diagnoses. Highlighting the benefits: Like shorter wait times, less disruption, faster referral, easier access, especially for vulnerable groups, etc. Social proof: By showing anonymous user choice trends for validation. #ai #aihealthcare #aihackathon

And that’s a wrap, we completed ✅ day 2 at the #GenAISummit in London. Great event and lovely to have met so many existing and new contacts in person 🙏🏼 Will share my final day takeaways and insights later today (once I’ve deciphered my notes and poor handwriting), but my overall feeling coming away from the event was very positive! It was great to see how things have evolved since last years event. In 2023, it was very high-level, aspirational and hypothetical as we were all still learning what might be possible with these GenAI advancements. Whereas this year was definitely more about successful pilots and the many examples of deployments companies had made within the enterprise; along with the sharing of learnings thus far! 👏🏻 It’s clear that we’re still a little bit away from fully customer-facing features, as we consider the risks and ongoing regulatory discussions globally, but kudos to all speakers and companies for openly sharing their learnings so far 🙌🏻 #GenAI #LLMs #FoundationModels #HITL #Data #FineTuning #Alignment
