In honour of National Cancer Survivors Day, Hannover Re Aus hosted its inaugural Rehabilitation Cancer Survivorship Forum to recognise and celebrate the strength of those impacted by cancer. Toni Lindsay, Senior Clinical Psychologist, highlighted the emotional and psychological hurdles of survivorship, emphasising the need for personalised care plans and graded return-to-work support. Dr Clara I L., Consultant Medical Oncologist, discussed acute breast cancer treatment, addressing long-term side effects and their impact on rehabilitation. Xi Wen (Carys) Chan Chan, Senior Lecturer and Researcher, shared insights from Hannover Re's research with Griffith University on barriers to cancer patients' workforce re-entry. Caitlin Bell, Lead, Legal & Financial Support Services at @Cancer Council NSW, provided an overview of available support services, including legal, workplace, and psychosocial resources. Facilitated by June Khaw, the forum united healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates in a commitment to empowering those affected by cancer, honouring their resilience and life beyond the diagnosis. Thank you to our partners and the industry for joining us at this event.
