US President Biden has taken a significant step towards a future where artificial intelligence (AI) is not just innovative but also safe and responsible. The Executive Order he's issued outlines a comprehensive strategy that focuses on AI safety, privacy protection, equity, and so much more. This is a welcome move towards ensuring that AI is a force for good. It reinforces the importance of developing AI that benefits everyone while mitigating potential risks. However, it's crucial to recognize that this may entail adjustments for some AI startups, especially those in generative AI. The new standards and safeguards may require revising product roadmaps and adapting to a more regulated environment. This, in the long run, will ensure that AI innovation is guided by ethical principles, accountability, and trust.
