It would not be wrong to say that one of the highly desired domain for many CAs is none other than "INVESTMENT BANKING". I was eagerly waiting for this domain session and yesterday finally I got the opportunity to get to pour my self with immense knowledge about it and I am glad to share that Simranjeet Kaur Nanda ( Associate vice President at Mango Advisors ) was there to enlighten about all the insights and internal work regarding this domain. She covered almost all the queries in epic sharp witted session. Majorly covered topics were:- 1. Investment banking (M&A, Advisory fields) 2. Roles on buy side and sell side 3. Deal structuring, Advising, Modelling, Monitoring due diligence, documenting, disbursement etc. 4. Types of firms 5. Investment banking process 6. Term sheet- preliminary sanction letter 7. Growth trajectory - Analyst, Associate, AVP/ VP, Director 8. Top skills required professionally and personality wise 9. Hiring process 10. Role of an analyst So much was covered that it was not lacking even a bit in making us feel that this is wholesome. Pro tip given by her was " Be solution oriented instead of focusing on problem-solving". Thank you so much CA Shivam Palan for the efforts. #ca #cafinal #investmentbanking #jobs #big4 #boutiquefirms #camonk

Financial Analyst vs. Financial Advisor: What's the Difference? The roles of a financial analyst and a financial advisor are similar. At the root, both help their clients make informed financial decisions, especially when it comes to decisions regarding investments. Their purpose is to help their clientele maximize their money. However, there are some differences between the two roles. A financial analyst examines financial data and economic trends. Most of their customers are in the business sector and often work in the public sector, either at a bank or an insurance company. Their goal is to help the client achieve and maintain profitability. They might also investigate a business's stock holdings and help coordinate mergers and acquisitions. A financial advisor works primarily in the private sector with individuals or families. His goal is to help create wealth-building strategies. While known primarily for helping clients with long-term savings and investment portfolios, they also advise on debt management, budgeting, tax planning, and other financial goals. Most financial advisors work in private firms or are self-employed. At The Robert Joseph Group, we provide clients with a wide range of pre-screened, highly skilled candidates for accounting and finance positions, including financial advising and analysis. Whether you are looking for your next career step or are looking to hire, our targeted recruitment process will provide you with what you're looking for! #financial #analyst #advisor #thedifference
