Suicide can affect every one of us. By raising awareness, reducing the stigma and encouraging action, we can help to reduce suicide. Please proceed at your convenience and mental preparedness.** Without decluttering, constant reminders of the loss can hinder the grieving process, making it difficult to heal and move forward. Steps for Physical Declutter: 1. Start Small: Begin with a single drawer or a small space. 2. Keep Sentimental Items: Hold on to a few items that carry deep sentimental value. 3. Donate: Consider donating usable items to charities or those in need. 4. Take Breaks: Allow yourself to take breaks and step away if the process becomes too overwhelming. Remember, there’s no rush. Proceed at your own pace and when you feel mentally prepared. Your feelings are valid and it's important to honor them. #Ofgriefandloss #Healing #Resilience

We all have a role to play in preventing suicide. Today marks World Suicide Prevention Day. We are reflecting on our work with PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide in 2019 when our generous members were able to raise funds at our Charity Gala Dinner to aid Papyrus with their work. The following statistics are from the Papyrus website, which also has an incredible amount of support, guidance and resources. Please join us in taking some time to look and see what you can do to help prevent the loss of more life. 📍 Suicide is the main cause of death in young people under the age of 35 in the UK. 📍 In 2018, 1,866 young people under the age of 35 took their own lives. 📍Over three quarters of them were boys or young men. 📍 On average, over five young people take their lives each day. 📍 Over 200 schoolchildren are lost to suicide every year. 📍 Research shows that with appropriate early intervention and support suicide by young people can be prevented.
