The budget meal initiative, announced in 2023, aims to crowdsource recommendations to help residents find budget meals more easily in housing estates. By the end of July, 330 coffee shops in HDB estates will offer affordable food fares and accept CDC vouchers. We are proud to support this initiative, with the BudgetMealGoWhere portal - a site for users to search and view budget meal options available at HDB coffee shops, and the RedeemSG platform - a trusted platform for users to redeem and spend their CDC vouchers. Last Thursday, we hosted our third Tech Kaki appreciation dinner. It was an evening dedicated to expressing our appreciation to enthusiastic Tech Kaki members who have invested time and effort in co-creating with us. We also took the opportunity to unveil our new Tech Kaki logo, symbolising the open and inclusive conversations and engagements we aspire to foster with our community. During the dinner, our Kaki had the chance to engage with our GovTech product team and Synpaxe to learn how their feedback and insight have been instrumental in shaping the development of our government digital products and services. A highlight of the evening was a sharing session by Jon, an active Tech Kaki member, who spoke about this experiences contributing to this vision of developing #techforpublicgood. Did you know that this year marks the 10th anniversary of International Women in Engineering Day? 👩🏻 Meet Evelyn Soh, one of our cyber guardians at GovTech. Together with her team of cybersecurity engineers, she takes care of digital security across the Whole-of-Government. “One of the most exciting aspects of my job is conducting security assessments as part of our audit. Each year, different systems across the government are selected, and we get to do security assessments on the systems similar to an adversarial simulation style. This work allows me to meet various people from the different agencies, understand their systems and workflows, and contribute to enhancing the overall security posture of our systems.” shares Evelyn.
