Last week, we convened 100+ leading Asian Pacific leaders across media and advertising at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to celebrate our collective presence at this global event and to unite for progress in this industry! Thank you to Helen Lin (Chief Digital Officer, Publicis Groupe) and Michelle Tang (Global Chief Growth Officer, McCann) for your unwavering leadership, Frank Starling (Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, Cannes Lions) for your official embrace from the festival, and Sabrina Ellis (Chief Product Officer, Pinterest) and Judy Lee (Senior Director of Global Experiences, Pinterest) for generously providing a home for us at Pinterest Manifestival. Investing in the Asian Pacific community via both visible representation and media spend is not just crucial for narrative change, but also business outcomes. The Asian Pacific community holds $1.3 trillion of buying power in the United States alone, and the vast majority of the community has reported that feeling authentically represented and understood by brands affects their purchasing decisions.
