Last week, I got the opportunity to present this Poster- "A Reliable Method for Assessing Active Supervision from Video Observations" organised by Kentucky Excellence in Educator Preparation (KEEP) 2024 Conference Program, to teachers from different states in USA. Active Supervision(AS) appears to be a good strategy for classroom management, specially when there is a wide range of AS, and the Inter-rater reliability is so high. The three aspects of Active Supervision included: Moving Scanning Interacting with students We used 10 minute video of teachers to code the data. Primarily, we found-It is necessary to follow the AS protocol, and be clear about the Instructional area(the primary teaching area), while coding.
