We're now 15 years beyond the 2008 National Science Foundation CS10K initiative to train 10,000 computer science teachers. Some progress has been made, however: - Only 57% of US high schools offer foundational computer science courses. - Only 5.8% of students enroll in these courses. - Just 31% of the enrolled students are female.
