📈 Weekly Investment Strategy Insights 📊 Interest Rates Poised to Tip Lower The bond market faces several challenges, including record government debt issuance, the Fed's balance sheet, and demand uncertainty. As inflation cools and the economy stabilizes, we anticipate interest rates to tip lower. Specifically, we expect the 10-year Treasury yield to fall to 4.0% by year-end and 3.75% over the next twelve months. While cash remains attractive, yields are unlikely to exceed 5.0%. Equities Continue Climbing Despite elevated valuations and the prospect of higher interest rates, the S&P 500 has achieved 31 record highs in 2024. The technology sector, in particular, has been driving gains. We encourage investors to stay invested and navigate the wall of worry. 📧 Got Cash on the Sidelines? Let's Chat! Read our latest market update from Andrew Sneddon, CFA below! "As I write, Australia's Matilda's Women's footballers have just triumphed in their FIFA Women's World Cup Match against Denmark to progress to the final stage of the tournament. After a challenging start to the tournament, the Matilda's enter the second half with a newfound optimism and rising expectations. Investors have been on a similar journey in the 2023 year to date, with fears that inflation-taming interest rate hikes by the RBA and other major central banks will either fail to tame inflation (i.e., 'fail to score goals') or tip the global economy into recession (i.e., 'concede goals'). With inflation showing clear signs of deceleration (down to 3% and 6% per cent in the US and Australia, respectively) and recessionary signs muted in both Australia and the United States, investors in 2023 view their proverbial investment scoreboard as 1-0 ahead at halftime. However, investors cannot yet lift the 2023 Cup in triumph. The second half is yet to play out and will likely present considerable risks." #matildas #2023halftime #impact #impactinvesting

I want a copy of this to reread later.
They settled it for a reason. The White young men were guilty and jail time was out of the question. Just like when the Human Rights Commission said I had a case against Credit Suisse and they were sorry it happened to me but could not take it further because head quarters were in the US. If I was White the Canada office would have settled it and ensured I landed in management in an equivalent role or better for the years of harassment and hurt. They kept the White guys on for hockey on independent contracts. Real hypocrites. I hate ice hockey it's too rough. Canada should be ashamed. Let me guess. Trudeau supported it. #Hockey #banks #money.

I help expats to optimize their personal finances in Czech Republic | Spanish in Prague | Message me to schedule 1 hour free session to find out how I can help you
Money is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 the solution to your problems. Sometimes money is actually what causes the problems. Because it´s not about earning more or less money, but how you handle it. The best example are the sport superstars that went broke despite of earning millions during their careers. A combination of bad habits, bad companies and bad decisions destroyed what could have become a great life for each of them. Now that Prague is full of ice hockey fans due to the Ice Hockey World Championship, it´s good to remember some of the ice hockey stars who went broke, to learn from their mistakes and don´t repeat them. More info on the first comment. You might be thinking that you don´t earn that much money, so you shouldn´t worry about it, but think again: ❌ Do you spend more money that you earn? ❌ Are you stressed to pay the bills after a fancy expensive purchase? ❌ Did you buy something you didn´t really need, just to impress someone else? 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹. And I can help you to achieve it: https://lnkd.in/dWFgPyBn #personalfinances #financialeducation #financialadvisor #icehockey #czechrepublic

2024 : EARLY PREDICTIONS Morning all! A few predictions on my part for this year: - I think the U.K. will see a new government. Whether Labour win it outright or have to share the mandate, one way or another I think we’ll see the end of the Conservative reign - I think the U.K. will have a tough first half of the year from an economic perspective and then in the 2nd half we’ll start to see some strength and confidence returning - I think the asset based lending and alternative funding markets will be a little cautious as to what they put their capital into and I see a slight increase in rates. The continued increase in the amount of brokers operating will also breed some frustration and margin threat - I think one way or another, Erik ten Hag will struggle to see the year out as Man Utd Manager …. Unless he well and truly gets hold of “player power” and gets shut of sulkers like Rashford - I think we will see the start of some “relaxation” from the likes of France and Spain related to U.K. residents wanting to spend longer in their countries. I think we’ll see some gentle returns to life before Brexit - The recruitment market will see a shift towards a client driven market after a lot of years where the candidates have effectively “called the shots”. If you don’t want the job, somebody else will gladly snap it up and on less money - Manchester City will slip into a higher gear soon and go on to win the Premier League for the 4th time in a row - Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will finally get it on this year, fight to be held in Saudi. Fury wins and retires There are my predictions for 2024. Let’s get it on! #predictions #change

Don’t bet on England to win the Euros! It’s difficult to predict the winner, however an experiment based on the analysis of 40 quarter finals over the last 16 years shows that predictions are far more accurate on the teams that will make it to the last eight. And of course, we can draw a parallel when it comes to investments. Not trying to predict whether an individual stock will be a winner , but the probability of a collective performance of stocks over the longer term. Find out the details in our latest blog. https://lnkd.in/eyU74sZN #Euros2024 #investments #ifa

"Many of Australia’s one and two cent coins were melted down to be turned into the bronze medals for the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000. These coins had been to many places in the country, and had been touched by many different people. Not only did we melt the coins together, but we melted together enough stories to say that everyone in Australia was part of those Olympics."
