When Dr Jack Jacoby talked with the shareholders and directors of major corporations, it was increasingly common to hear them talk of the difficulty they experience in maintaining control over their corporations and, more importantly, ensuring that the corporation delivers that which is expected of it by its owners. The 1980s and the crash of the 2000s commercial and economic debacle have certainly heightened this level of cynicism and scepticism throughout business circles. Are You In An Echo Chamber? - Leaders and business executives can succumb to the trap of getting into an echo chamber, in case they lose the ability to accept diverse perspectives from people around them. Being surrounded by "yes men" and "yes ladies" could prove detrimental to the leader as well as to the organisation. Sharing my views on why for any individual who seeks to grow exponentially, refraining from the lure of entering an echo chamber is vital.
