Cisco recently published a report on their "AI readiness index" 🔎 The report is based on a survey of 8,161 senior business leaders at organizations with 500 or more employees with responsibility for AI integration and deployment within their organizations. Here are some of the key findings: 1. The largest immediate issue is data centralization, with 81% of respondents admitting that their data exists in silos across their organizations. 2. Only three out of 10 respondents currently have comprehensive AI policies and protocols, and just four out of 10 have systematic processes for AI bias and fairness corrections. 3. An overwhelming 90% of organizations are investing in training to address some of the AI skills gaps in their workforce. Talent readiness is a big issue as can be seen in the visual below. 4. The lowest percentage of Pacesetters is seen in the Culture pillar, suggesting that business leaders are still wrestling with how to best integrate AI across their organizations.
