Finally, "Attribute Rules" and "Supplemental Data Sources" have been implemented in Google Merchant Center Next! Confirmed in Japanese environment. To use "Attribute Rules" and "Supplemental Data Sources", you can add "Advanced Data Source Management" from the "Add-ons" screen of Google Merchant Center Next. Once the add-on is added, selecting a data source will bring up the "Auxiliary Data Sources" tab, and selecting a registered data source will bring up the "Attribute Rules" tab. I believe the basic functionality is the same as the Google Merchant Center Classic version, but please be careful with the behavior just in case. https://lnkd.in/gFHbyFjK

Google Merchant Center Next: Needed Missing Functions Coming Soon? Attribute Rules (AKA Feed Rules) are coming. Following yesterday's news about the "custom data source matching" function and related deails about "Supplemental data sources", I noticed a new article in Google Merchant Center Help called "Set up your attribute rules." Attribute Rules are the Google Merchant Center NEXT equivalent of the Feed Rules already available in the Classic GMC. I cannot find this function yet in the few GMC Next accounts I have access to, but since the help pages are new, we might expect a wider release in the next few months. According to the help page, this function is supposed to provide the same or very similar capabilities as the Feed Rules in the Classic GMC. Supplemental Feeds and Feed Rules are two of the most needed functions to allow wider adoption of Merchant Center Next, especially for advanced feed experts. It seems Google is finally moving forward with their implementation. I wonder how much longer the Classic Merchant Center will be available.
