I've been asked numerous times this week what my thoughts are on Equinox's new high end membership for a personalized health program that has a similar mission statement to what we started at Apeiron Life. In short, I think it's great. Having another credible player talk about the benefits of improving performance in life and increasing health span using known science brings awareness and increases the market for all of us. We think we have assembled the best human performance team there is, and have been delivering optmized health and wellness services for the past 5 years. Our goal simply stated is use a science-based approach to help people live healthier and perform better for longer. Check us out and you decide. www.apeiron.life https://lnkd.in/gfRT9bTh
Equinox has always been a brilliant brand marketer. A private, concierge-like, health-optimization membership with a luxury price point is spot on for them. Unlock is always figuring out target audience and their motivations. Do consumers want to optimize for performance/sports, health, lifespan, or beauty etc? Do they need to loose weight or optimize their sleep? Who do they want to collaborate with in the process—a chic gym/trainer, an integrated longevity lab, a doctor/sleep lab or chef/nutritionist? Equinox definitely knows its target audience and has marketed accordingly.
People need accountability and a coach can provide that.

1moA gym membership is only as good as how frequently it is used and how fully you take advantage of the services it provides. The action and motivation has to come from the purchaser. Action precedes motivation though. Buying a membership, regardless of its cost is a placeholder for action.
