Just in time to enjoy the European Football Championship together, the participants in the course “Certified Underwriting Specialist” met again in Cologne. What better combination than medical underwriting insights during the day and a multinational group cheering on different countries in the evening? Thanks to all Gen Re colleagues who supported the seminar. #medicalunderwriting

Partner, Bär & Karrer SA, Co-Head of White Collar Crime Practice Group, Membre du Conseil de l’Ordre des avocats de Genève
Fight Against Match Fixing in São Paulo It has been a real pleasure to speak at the International Bar Association Conférence in São Paulo “When Arbitration meets crime”, together with my fellow panelists Lic. Graciela Garay (CONMEBOL ) Annett Rombach (arbitrator at TAS/CAS Tribunal Arbitral du Sport / Court of Arbitration for Sport / Tribunal Arbitral del Deporte ), Emmanuel Moyne, Michelangelo Cicogna and Roberto Armelin, CPC-A (Head of Legal & Compliance at São Paulo Futebol Clube ). Hereafter the key take aways of our panel: - Sport federations do not have the same coercive powers as enforcement authorities in order to fight Match Fixing (dawn raids, arrest warrant, phones tapping, etc); - National enforcement authorities should consequently support more Sport federations in their fight against this scourge ; - Clubs and Sport federations shall invest in the sensibilisation and formation of young players; - CAS and State courts must continue to retain as standard of proof the criteria of “comfortable satisfaction”. The criteria of “beyond any reasonable doubt” is appropriated for criminal proceedings, but not for CAS proceedings. #whitecollarcrime #integrity #sportintegrity

The EFAA (European Football Agents Association) conference at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday is perfectly timed. With the interim injunctive relief granted in the likes of Spain and Germany, the uncertainty regarding the legal challenge in England and the absence of a system of parity in France and Italy (where national law applies), it might be fair to say the Agents' industry is "an industry on fire"! Looking forward to addressing these and other 'hot' topics (🫣) with a fantastic panel of experts of stakeholder reptesentatives. #footballagent #sportslaw #competitionlaw
PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL EXECUTIVE • CEO & FOUNDER at GLOBAL FOOTBALL SERVICE (CY) Ltd • FIFA DIPLOMA IN CLUB MANAGEMENT
I'm thrilled to be a part of the first EFAA (European Football Agents Association) panel for “An industry on fire?” happening on November 8th at Wembley Stadium. In "Panel I - perspectives from football stakeholders," we will delve into the intricacies of the professional football industry. We'll discuss topics like the scope of football's self-governance and regulatory model and the role of agents within this framework. I'm grateful to share the stage with outstanding panelists: - Maheta Molango (Professional Footballers' Association/ FIFPRO) - Carol Couse (Mills & Reeve) - Lars Kuepper (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) The panel will be expertly moderated by Professor Richard Parrish from Edge Hill University, a leading academic in Sports Law. Looking forward to an insightful discussion!

📢 Fresh from the press!⚽️ 🚀 Our latest publication is out, shedding light on the training habits of female football players during different microcycle lengths. 🌟 Check out the findings in our new study published in PLOS ONE: https://lnkd.in/dQjeDDhP 🔍 Main Findings: Loading patterns resemble a pyramid or skewed pyramid during longer cycle lengths (5–7 days). Higher training loads were observed towards the middle compared to the start and end of the cycle. Non-starters displayed slightly higher loads on MD+2, with no significant load differentiation from MD-5 onwards. 👩🔬 This research offers valuable insights into periodization and training strategies tailored for female football players, paving the way for optimized performance and injury prevention. 🏃♀️💪 Kudos to the great Andreas Kjæreng Winther for collecting and analyzing all this data🥂 STATSports Svein Arne Pettersen João Brito Ivan Baptista Morten Bredsgaard Randers Dag Johansen 🤝
