PRIDE IN OUR PRIDE Walking up to the Oslo office for my first visit in some months, noticing these flags made me feel a rush of pride in Cisco‘s culture. Our company purpose is to power an inclusive future for all. There are myriad ways to interpret that, big and small, internal and external. Not everyone supports equal rights, and that’s a shame. Cisco could conceivably stay ‘neutral’— to avoid poking the hornet’s nest of intolerance in the name of doing business with everyone. Thank goodness was we don’t see human rights as negotiable. At a recent large company event, I noticed every executive wore a very noticeable heart-shaped Pride pin on their lapel. I’m so proud of us for visibly supporting Pride, and for explicitly supporting all of us to be our true selves. We know we’re not perfect, that it takes much more than flags and buttons to maintain a culture of equity and inclusion, and that it’s not real to be allies one month per year. But inclusiveness is right there in our purpose, and we try to live that in every way. #WeAreCisco #Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ #SundayMusings

What a wonderful visual to describe our culture and purpose Gavin! I feel the same way when I see the flags connecting Cisco, Great Place to Work, and our commitment to inclusion and human rights for all. We still have work to do before every employee can bring their full self and potential to work. But when we all walk the talk, we will keep moving in the right direction. 🙏

I noticed the same expression of inclusion -including Pride - at Cisco Live and was very impressed. Well done! 🙌
