Sporting her PALACE GAP track jacket, Mia Kretzer from our community partner Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word (GN4LW) took to Venice with her friends in the organization to showcase their original style over their favorite pastime — skating in their local skate community. Mia is a true original. At only 9 years old, she is an emerging skating prodigy taking home Gold at this year's X Games, making her the youngest athlete to participate and receive a medal at the acclaimed sports event. To round out the Pride Month festivities, we joined The GenderCool Project to march with Equality Illinois at this year's Chicago Pride Parade, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and showcasing the importance of Pride all year long! This is our third year of partnership with The GenderCool Project and we're so honored to champion self-expression with our community partner. Happy Pride from Gap 🏳️🌈💙

We're ready to wear our pride! We partnered with The GenderCool Project and their Champion Lily to design friendship bracelets for our employees to celebrate Pride Month. Lily's inspiration came from merging both brands' colors while honoring the colors of the Pride flag. GenderCool is a youth-led movement dedicated to helping replace misinformed opinions with positive experiences meeting transgender and non-binary youth. To support their mission, Gap Inc. is donating to the organization and we'll be joining them later this month at the Pride parade in Chicago! Our brand believes in the power of being your authentic self, and we're honored to provide an outlet for our teams to show their pride and express themselves in their own way. Last week, our community partner The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) hosted their 19th annual Voices Gala. The event was a center for culture icons to come together in a collective stand for justice, access, equity and opportunity - an opportunity to bridge gaps and create a better world. Hosted by Hasan Minhaj and honoring both Ai-jen Poo and Billy Porter, the gala represented the power of community coming together for a shared purpose, raising over $1.9 million to serve our Black and Latinx youth in New York City. We are honored to have been in attendance and we're looking forward to seeing BroSis continuing to push towards a more just future for the youth!

Today, we announced our latest collaboration with California clothing label Dôen on a collection of women’s and kids’ apparel and accessories, merging our most loved essentials with DÔEN’s assortment of California classics in a celebration of individuality and timeless femininity.
