"The way our bureaucrats and policymakers approach technology, they love to show that we are technology-friendly and adopting new technology", Practically the technology implementation affects the people in the society suffer more than earlier. This is because we are thinking of the implementation of change in society without considering the opinions and practical difficulties of the person accessing the technology. Leiter EUROGUSS & Geschäftsführer bei MedtecLIVE GmbH | Neue Geschäftsentwicklung, Marketingkommunikation, Projektplanung | Veranstaltungsprofi mit >15 Jahren Erfahrung
"We're not getting enough people into our industry" 😱 An alarming sentence that I heard all too often from the participants in our last Executive Circle. ☝️ But what many people don't know: The #diecasting industry is a global leader in technology, innovative and far removed from the classic image of the "foundryman" (dirty, loud, hot, etc.). The highly automated, digitalized #diecasting cells are the future and help to make the industry attractive for new workers. The changeover within companies just needs to happen quickly! Therefore my recommendation for everyone who is interested in this topic 👇 At EUROGUSS, but above all beyond, the recruitment of #skilled workers is in the spotlight. As NürnbergMesse GmbH, we want to support the industry in finding the right talent. In cooperation with Work4YourWorld, we are creating an innovative platform where top employers can talk to potential employees in digital coffee talks. A revolutionary approach compared to conventional job walls and job boards. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eMTrThR9 In cooperation with Oskar Frech GmbH + Co. KG, we are also inviting students and school pupils to #EUROGUSS on January 18. During this excursion, future specialists will be able to see for themselves the innovative capacity of the industry and talk to the companies. The EUROGUSS Talent Award will also honor the best talents on this day. Thank you GF Casting Solutions, Bühler Group Die Casting and MAGMA Gießereitechnologie GmbH for your support and also a big shout out to the whole jury of the Award (Franz-Josef Wöstmann, Dirk Lehmhus, Frank Gensty, Paul Brancaleon, Hermann Jacob Roos, Dr. Sebastian Tewes and Mathieu Weber)! Are you at EUROGUSS this year? Are you a student and want to take part in the Student Day? Find more information on our website or write me a message! ✍️ 🗓️ Save the Date: January 16 to 18, 2024 in Nuremberg #aluminum #diecasting #foundry

On mission to guide 1 million committed product manufacturing leaders and ambitious entrepreneurs on transitioning their companies to be sustainable & circular for a better world. Follow my posts about the journey.
#reflections At circulist, our 4th principle focuses on creating 'good, meaningful' jobs for people in and for their local cities. #local4local #smartcollar We are driven to reimagine what jobs + work become across the network of intelligent, micro assembly service centres we envisage will drive the transition to sustainable + circular production and service. It's not about driving for global export but fostering local, closed loop systems of production, service, and material flows never leaving their city. With this point of view in mind, I have shared a great UK report on 'Creating a Good Jobs Economy in the UK' with some great observations from the report: "The UK is hardly alone in facing this challenge. Deindustrialisation, globalisation and declining protections for labour have created conditions across developed economies whereby productive technologies are held in a small number of high-performing firms and do not diffuse across all parts of the economy. We see this in the UK’s much discussed long tail of low productivity firms. The effect of this economic dualism is the proliferation of ‘bad jobs’. Calls to renew manufacturing are not an adequate response to this phenomenon. Automation and labour-saving innovations have resulted in lower levels of job creation in advanced manufacturing sectors. Even those countries that have maintained strong industrial sectors, like South Korea or Germany, have seen a decline in manufacturing employment as a share of total employment." Great work by Prof. Dani Rodrik (Harvard) and his focus on 'Productivism'. Jamie Pride Brian Bailey Mariana Mazzucato Maria Atkinson AM Friska Wirya Magdalena Toth

Excellent speech by Peter Kyle at the techUK conference today with a markedly positive vision for harnessing the growth opportunities from emerging technologies. Three main takeaways from the speech👇 👉Long-term approach: If Labour are to win the next election, Peter spoke of Labour’s plan for an industrial strategy with a 20 year programme of national renewal and a true partnership with the tech industry. 👉Regulation: businesses need fast, clear and consistent regulation, so Labour would set up a Regulatory Innovation Office which would strengthen the work done by the regulatory advisory counsel and give strategic steers in line with Labour’s Industrial Strategy. 👉Workforce: Crucial for careful consultation with industries and businesses make sure positive disruption for workforces. Peter spoke of a need to reassure people that Labour will never abandon communities, instead there would be a huge benefit of knowledge of disruptive technologies coming down the line.
