Receiving an award is always pleasing. But for peers to laud your vision of your job is yet another level of satisfaction. Especially when this vision is somewhat unique. When launching @CNTVRS three years ago, we wanted to provide our clients with a support based mostly on counsel. Notably counsel on the right strategy to reach their (strategic) goals. And yes, we were perfectly aware of how bold calling ourselves a "strategic counsel agency" was. Especially at a time when strategy consulting firms had made very clear they wanted to compete with (if not replace !) communication consultancy. So receiving this award means a lot to us. It means that we were right in our will to revolutionise the way we do our job, by putting strategy back at the very heart of our offer. CNTVRS is not a public affairs cabinet, nor a PR agency or a strategic monitoring start-up. CNTVRS leverages its strategic consulting capacities to build campaigns using the tactic tools that are public affairs, PR, events, monitoring, digital... The Award for Agency of the Year in Strategy Consulting is not awarded every year. It has been in 2023, to our great pride. Now for 2024! We will make sure we are worthy of getting it again, for (and thanks to !) our clients.
CNTVRS has been named Agency of the Year in Strategy Consulting and Communication Management for 2023! This is a joy and honour for all CNTVRS consultants, as well as an acknowledgement of their daily commitment and passsion. Public affairs, strategic monitoring, press relations and influence... Over the last 3 years, we have been bringing together all our fields of expertise to provide our clients with relevant, efficient and innovative strategic consulting. A heartfelt thank you to our clients, partners and all those who are part of this adventure, making our success possible. Next year, we'll remain by your side, to prove yet again that the challenges you will face tomorrow will only be solved through debate, exchange of views and arguments... In short, through controversy! #CNTVRS #AgenceDeCommunicationDeLAnnee #GrandPrixDesAgences

Yesterday we presented virtually at the inaugural meeting of The Critical Communications Association’s (TCCA-Critical Communications) Legal and Regulatory Working Group (LRWG), which took place in Brussels. We are one of only two government agencies outside of Europe to join the Working Group. As the critical communications sector moves towards broadband, it is crucial to establish legal and regulatory frameworks in environments where market and technology is rapidly evolving. The Working Group provides a forum for government agencies to discuss similar issues to help establish consistency and best practices, and to drive regulatory work with a united voice. Georgina Gold, NSW Telco Authority’s Associate Director, Policy, will join the LRWG as our nominated representative and shares her thoughts. “I am delighted to join the Working Group on behalf of NSW Telco Authority, to further Australia’s collaboration with government agencies around the world so we can learn from each other and work to resolve similar challenges in building mission critical broadband networks and services for the first time.” We welcome the LRWG’s facilitation of deeper engagement between government operators around the world by expanding to include members from non-European countries and are grateful for the opportunity. TCCA’s LRWG is chaired by Nina Myren who is also a Board member of TCCA. The Critical Communications Association (TCCA) leads the global development and promotion of standardised critical communications solutions for professional users. Corporate Affairs/Crisis, Issues, Communications Strategy/Governance at Holmesglen/Pride Centre Board Member/IABC Vic Immediate Past President
I'm delighted to let you know, now that registrations are open, that I'll be speaking at the IABC World Conference in Chicago. My topic is "Oh I'm not into politics. What communications professionals can learn from political communications". Why that topic? Well, after more than 30 years in and around politics and social change, my experience is that most people, when asked, will instinctively indicate a dislike or distrust for politicians or politics. Yet they'll often be quite engaged, and a majority, sometimes in countries like mine the whole nation, will vote. SO what's going on here? What is it that's engaging people in such a famously distrusted category? What are the tools and approaches, the dark arts and the spin, but also the optimism and the hope, that drives what is a complex, multi generational, broad based yet also targeted, branding, marketing and engagement machine? And importantly, what's transferable? What can my colleagues learn about messaging, visuals, speeches, social media, and more, from politics that'll work for their role as internal, external, change or other communications/ corporate affairs disciplines. I've got some great political communications professionals in my network so don't hesitate to reach out and offer me your thoughts as I work up my presentation over the coming months. I'll be sure to keep it timely and fresh as this is a big year for elections in the US and beyond. In 2024, 40% of the world's population, 60% of GDP, and 80% of the world's market cap, are going to the polls. Chicago is known as the windy city and that's only partly due to the breeze. The rivalry with Cincinnati in the 19th Century first led to this derogatory term being used (since reclaimed!) So it's the perfect year and city for this presentation. I'd be honoured if you'd join me in the room where it happens this June!
Registration is now LIVE for IABC's World Conference 2024! RSVP to join us this June in the Windy City and discover the transformative power of communication under the theme "Communication Creates." See you there! https://hubs.li/Q02jVR--0 #IABC24
