Jose presides over global Excellence, Innovation & Transformation Awards, with 1,000 submissions annually, where only 10% of the entries are selected to run. These are the best of the best, globally. What happens over time with the winners? In 3 years, about 50% of their innovation programs die. In 5 years, 95% disappear. In a decade, 99% become irrelevant. Only 1% of the best of the best remains consistent over time. Only 1% of the winners manage to build a culture behind their innovation and excellence programs. It is incredibly difficult to do so. It was great to see such an active and vibrand community! We could share our dNFT activities with IUCN #GreenListStandard and the gameification efforts with Operal AG. We received the Sindolf business award in the special ‘Sustainability’ category for our future-oriented, sustainable operations and our investments in sustainable technologies. The award was presented to outstanding companies and entrepreneurs based in Sindelfingen for the first time by the city of Sindelfingen and Wirtschaftsförderung Sindelfingen GmbH, a business development company. The jury consisted of specialists and business leaders in Sindelfingen. ‘It means so much to us to receive this award. Since the company was founded nearly 90 years ago, we have been rooted in Sindelfingen and very closely connected to the city. For us as an international company in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology, sustainability is a global issue, anchored in various dimensions of our company’s DNA – in products, processes, investments, supply chains and the social arena,’ says Christian Wehrle.
