Global organizations must keep pace with the ever-evolving expectations for circular and sustainable products and supply chains. In today's world, customers are demanding responsibly designed and manufactured goods. Non-compliance with regulatory requirements, which are becoming increasingly intricate, poses significant risks. Furthermore, when making investment decisions, there is a heightened emphasis on sustainability. For the chemical industry, the transformation is an unavoidable and essential undertaking. But how can companies improve at proactively managing their product portfolios and supply chains? Explore the topic further in an article from Annette Koehler, ERM’s PS&C Lead, who spoke at ChemCon Asia last week: https://lnkd.in/dmfhqfbT #ChemConAsia #ChemicalIndustry #PharmaIndustry

Our latest #CMI #newsletter is out now: One topic: Creating Net-Zero Value Chains First established in 2019 within the World Economic Forum (WEF) as the Low-Carbon Emitting Technologies (LCET) initiative, the CEO-led Global Impact Coalition (GIC) was officially launched as an independent entity by seven global chemical companies in November 2023. Focused on reducing carbon emissions and advancing circularity in the #chemical industry, the GIC provides a platform to co-create new business models, develop proof-of-concept pilots, and scale-up new technologies. One of the projects to accelerate the transformation to a low-carbon and circular future is the recently launched R&D Hub, aimed at advancing new plastic recycling methods. In an interview with CHEManager International, Charlie Tan, CEO of GIC, explains the initiative’s scope and describes some key activities. Read more about this #interview and company news about AbbVie, Actylis, Arkema, CEPSA, Dow, Fujifilm Europe, Huntsman Corporation, Shin-Etsu Chemical, Siegfried, Solenis, WACKER, and more in our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eVQeRS2y Ralf Kempf
