The AMA has conducted a survey of over 1,000 physicians to explore their motivations, concerns, requirements, and uses of AI-enabled tools. The results are insightful and reveal the potential of AI to improve patient care, reduce administrative burdens, and support clinical decision making. Some of the key findings are: - Physicians are optimistic about the advantages of AI, but also cautious about its limitations and risks. - Physicians see the most value in AI for tasks that are repetitive, time-consuming, or prone to human error. - Physicians want AI to be transparent, explainable, and aligned with evidence-based medicine. - Physicians prefer AI to augment rather than replace human intelligence and judgment. Stay tuned for updates on the Life Sciences workshop ✨ Participants have been selected by the Lorentz Center for the “Assessing healthcare AI and safeguarding its use” workshop between the 13th and 17th of May where YAGHMA is bringing the challenge 💡 Brilliant minds from the field of AI, medicine and more will come together to face the special challenge for AI in #Healthcare ⬇ How to assess #AIsystems where the direct users are health professionals, but the output of the #AI has direct and significant impact on the patient, the end-user? 🌐 How to navigate the dual role of healthcare #professionals in being: - an intermediator between the AI system and the patient, - while also an integral part of generating the best possible outcome for the patient, as they need to use their specialist knowledge and experience to evaluate the outcome of the AI and potentially disagree with the outputs of the AI? 🌐 We are beyond excited to see their results, and we hope you are too! ✨ #ImpactAssessment #TrustworthyAI
