I enjoyed a great time traveling to Cuba in early April with a group of nine other accomplished women associated with How Women Lead! Many of the women are in the midst of big transitions - moving into new roles, taking on board positions, starting or growing different companies, and even retiring. It was such a supportive environment to talk about navigating these liminal periods. With Julie Castro Abrams’ helpful prompting, we discussed everything from letting go of the trappings of former jobs to our preferred self-care methods. We got to do all of this off the grid, fully immersing ourselves in Cuba’s culture (the Art! The Music! ) and each other’s stories. Spending the week with these women, talking about our pasts and future visions, was exactly the reinforcement I needed for my own work. I’m grateful to know these inspiring leaders - with their insight, I can push my own business further and continually grow my perspective, too. I already miss all of you! That was the best week of my life, hands down! Fun, frivolity, friendship, deep connection, genuine support, unabashed encouragement, and beauty around every corner... if there's ever a reunion in the works, count me in!
