Back from Ukraine 🇺🇦 I have just returned from my third visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion. This time I was travelling with Anne Pointet who has recently been appointed Head of Group Company Engagement and is a member of the BNP Paribas Group Executive Committee. Her presence highlights the importance of placing sustainability as part of UKRSIBBANK’s strategy and the central role it will play in the war time (for instance for the production of renewable electricity ) as in the post-war recovery. I had the opportunity to meet with the governor of National Bank of Ukraine and I was pleased to speak at the UKRSIBBANK management conference where I underlined our thanks to all the managers and employees of our bank in Ukraine for their continued resilience, engagement and commitment to our clients. Everyone at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group should be proud of their achievements during this very difficult time for the country. The organization of the conference itself was a symbol of the « crisis as usual » management that works so well at UKRSIBBANK: we had an air alert during the conference (as it occurs every day several times) and we moved all to the basement where we continued the conference, listening to Dmytro Sholomko, as if nothing happened (only with a different background as you can see 😀). Special tribute of course go to our teams that work and operate branches in the cities that are almost daily under shelling , from Kharkiv, Dnipro to Kherson, some of which were present with us . Our bank has been named the Most Resilient Bank in Ukraine thanks to its solidity and results . Our 200 branches operate every day despite the electricity shortages . Our client base among companies in Ukraine is growing, in particular among multinational companies , thanks to the superior quality of our service . If you have a good team, you can manage any situation, as told me Sergey Zagorulko. The whole of the BNP Paribas Group stands with our employees, our clients and the people of Ukraine! Thank you to Laurent Dupuch for organising a fruitful seminar and thanks to @Anne Pointet for undertaking the very long journey to Kyiv with me and seeing first-hand the dedication of our colleagues at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group ! Ps: I will share more on separate posts about some highlights of my visit in Ukraine.

3wWhy do you call it "Russian Invasion" and you don't call it "NATO Invasion"??? What would happen if Mexico, Cuba, Canada & Hawaii joined the BRICS???
