My previous post last week summarised the various "standard" recruitment models and mentioned there were other models in the market too, so let's explore those here: You may have heard of "Managed Services" (MSP) and "RPO" as two recruitment models that exist, that can elevate your hiring game in certain circumstances. So, what's the difference between them? Managed Services Provider (MSP): Essentially your outsourced end-to-end recruitment partner, handling the full recruitment cycle for your business. Offers flexibility as well as the ability to scale - up or down - as your business needs and budgets evolve. Ideal for ongoing recruitment projects at scale, or when lacking sufficient internal expertise or capacity to deliver hiring at higher volumes. Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO): As the name suggests, this is when an external partner takes complete ownership of the step by step PROCESSES that underpin your recruitment implementation strategy (examples - CV screening, candidate shortlisting, interview arrangements, offer management, onboarding etc.) The RPO partner offers a dedicated team to manage high-volume hiring processes, or are engaged to handle the necessary processes around specialised roles or projects.
