#LoveLD - Intrigued by the look of this episode: https://lnkd.in/er8NHi3h - and all the associated resources and linked podcasts. (Do I see that @davecormier in there?) Confession: I think there is great pedagogy for online - and that can be either synchronous or asynchronous - equally there can be great pedagogy for F2F... If we need an element of choice, then we need to offer more versions and students can choose which option to go for. #LTHEchat #studychat #creativeHE

Podcasting can be a good tool for communication because it can be easily accessible if you use technology. It is a great way for people to inform themselves on different topics without having to look at a screen or focus on visuals. This can be helpful and be more effective for auditory learners and is a good open education resources for instructors. Depending on your views, I feel like a lot of things can be seen as a good open education resource. I feel like there shouldn't be a limit to what you can use as educational on the internet. One of my favorite resources is HippoCampus since it can help students with their writing skills. I see this as an important tool especially as an aspiring teacher. There can be confusion when you teach something to someone, and I feel like HippoCampus explains in a kid friendly way. It has a variety of information for all subjects, so students can use this website for subjects they are struggling in. #EDLT3110

Listened to the Cult of Pedagogy podcast and learned about how to create organic classroom discussions that mimic real world conversations. Tips included removing discussion roles and close ended prompts and providing open ended talking points while allowing students to decide how their discussion will be structured. #cultofpedagogy #googlepodcasts

Podcasting serves as an excellent tool for communication due to its accessibility, versatility, and the engaging nature of audio content. Podcasts enable individuals to share information, stories, and discussions in a convenient format that can be accessed at any time. This medium caters to diverse learning preferences, offering an auditory experience that often resonates more effectively with certain audiences. Additionally, podcasts provide a platform for educators to disseminate educational content widely, aligning with the principles of open education resources (OERs). OERs, as freely accessible materials, aim to democratize education by providing resources that transcend geographical and financial barriers. In my research, I discovered the OER Commons, an extensive platform offering a variety of educational resources. My favorite resource on OER Commons is the collection of open-access textbooks. These textbooks not only contribute to the affordability of education but also ensure that quality learning materials are accessible to a global audience. The open nature of these resources aligns with the inclusive philosophy of OERs, making education more accessible to learners worldwide. #EDLT3110.
