🔬 Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Center for Patient Derived Models designs an innovative phase 2 clinical trial to find new potential treatments for glioblastoma! The trial, called INSIGhT (Individualized Screening Trial of Innovative Glioblastoma Therapy), uses a shared control arm to test multiple investigational therapies at one time. 💡"This design is more economical and faster than the alternative of three separate randomized phase 2 trials, which would require many more patients and a lot more resources," says co-senior author and principal investigator Patrick Wen, MD, Director of the Center for Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber. 👉🌐 Explore the details here: https://lnkd.in/dnC8m7yF #clinicaltrials #glioblastoma

TCF's clinical trial, TCF-001 TRACK, is a fully remote, decentralized trial that allows rare cancer patients to have access to critical genomic testing and to enroll from their homes, regardless of geographic location. We designed this trial to specifically address challenges faced by rare cancer patients in enrolling and gaining access to trials. We are so proud to share that TRACK is included as a 'home run' clinical trial in this fantastic article in NPJ Precision Oncology by Dr. Razelle Kurzrock and Dr. Jacob Adashek. https://lnkd.in/eQJ-bZRY

Have you seen the latest feature in Health Tech World? Dr. Emiliano Calvo Aller and Dr. Victor Moreno, Directors of Clinical Research at START Madrid-CIOCC and START Madrid-FJD, respectively, share their insights on Spain's evolving landscape of early-phase oncology trials. In this article, they take you through how Spain became a leader in oncology trials, the need for patient access to clinical trials within the community setting, and the exciting developments in personalized medicine and cell therapy. As Dr. Calvo said so beautifully, "For many cancer patients, participating in a Phase I clinical trial may be their only feasible option for accessing a potentially successful treatment. In these cases, access to a trial can be a much-needed source of hope." Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eqfUd3gs #OncologyResearch #ClinicalTrials #HealthTechWorld

🔬 Exciting News in Oncology Research! 🔬 At Lampgen Clinical Research, we are always on the lookout for groundbreaking advancements in cancer therapy that could potentially reshape clinical trial landscapes. A recent phase 1 trial led by Mustang Bio and City of Hope has shown promising results in treating recurrent glioblastoma with CAR-T therapy. This study, the largest of its kind for glioblastoma, demonstrated stable disease or better in half of the subjects, with one patient remaining cancer-free for over five years! This trial is particularly notable for its innovative approach of injecting CAR-T cells directly into the brain tumor and cerebrospinal fluid. This method could revolutionize treatment strategies for this aggressive form of brain cancer. We are thrilled about the potential this holds for future clinical trials and the patients they serve. As a staffing firm specializing in oncology clinical research associates, Lampgen is proud to support trials that push the boundaries of current cancer treatments. We believe that with the right team and expertise, anything is possible in the fight against cancer. #OncologyResearch #ClinicalTrials #CARTherapy #Glioblastoma #CancerResearch #InnovationInCancer #ClinicalResearchAssociates #LampgenClinicalResearch #HopeInResearch #FightCancer #MedicalAdvancements

We spoke with Sibel Blau, MD, at the 2023 Clinical Pathways Congress + Cancer Care Business Exchange about the current state of clinical research in the oncology community and how technologies and new models are impacting this area. "If we're talking about community oncology, where most of the patients are treated, we need some innovation and some flexibility for our patients to be able to access clinical trials. The innovation is using technology, the flexibility is to be able to bring more resources to the research field," said Dr Blau.
