Hazelnuts characterise the unique taste of many of Ferrero’s products. Hazelnuts come from hazel trees, which grow mainly in Mediterranean-type climates. Our expertise and tradition with this fruit go back to our roots in Alba and the Langhe region in Piedmont, Italy, where Ferrero was founded in 1946. Today, we receive our hazelnuts from different locations, and we want to ensure they are sourced following good agricultural and social practices. I would suggest to use more bio hazelnuts, becaue there are regions in Italy where you buy hazelnuts that are completely poisoned for pesticides. You can drive the cultivation towards a more sustainable way.
