En SAP, vivimos junio a puro color, celebración y aprendizaje, con drag shows, juegos, paneles, charlas informativas, y más. Infinitas gracias al equipo de #PrideAtSAP en Latinoamérica que organizó todas estas actividades para conectar(nos) y honrar a la comunidad LGBTQIA+ 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 Y ahora que ya está iniciando julio, ¿qué hacemos? ¿Guardamos las banderas y nos metemos al clóset hasta el año próximo? ¡No! Así como todas las personas vamos construyendo nuestra identidad día a día, el #orgullo en las empresas se debe sentir en todo momento. Dar un lavado de cara al logo de la marca y pintarlo de arcoíris en junio no alcanza si no invertimos en nuestros grupos de afinidad para que puedan ejecutar sus planes, si no brindamos oportunidades de desarrollo a nuestros talentos subrepresentados, si no capacitamos a nuestros equipos de liderazgo y recursos humanos, si no revisamos nuestras políticas y beneficios para que sean más inclusivos, si no llevamos adelante acciones para la comunidad, entre tantas otras cosas. Por eso, con este resumen en imágenes que dejo aquí debajo del gran #MesDelOrgullo que tuvimos en SAP Latinoamérica, reafirmo nuestro compromiso con la inclusión de la comunidad LGBTQIA+ el año entero, y celebro los resultados en HRC Equidad Argentina, Chile y Brasil, donde nuevamente obtuvimos la certificación con 100 puntos. ¡Felicitaciones y gracias a todo el equipo! June 28 - Pride Day 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ What should I write on a day like today? If you know me or have been following my posts on social media, you know I'm gay and I have been open about it for more than half my life. Was it always easy? I wish I could say that it was. There were many times I came across prejudice and discrimination, and ignorance. But this won't be a sad story what I'm about to share 🌈 I want to tell you about my journey with #diversity, #equity and #inclusion (DEI). Almost ten years ago, I volunteered to launch #PrideAtSAP in Argentina, and the rest is history. I got to lead this employee resource group (#ERG) in the region and also globally for a bit before I was appointed Head of DEI for Latin America in 2020. There is so much I've learned and so many people I got to meet and now call my friends... SAP opened the doors for me to be my true self, and make a living out of my passion. Going back to those days when I was just getting started, not sure where the road would take me, I can only feel grateful. I'm grateful for the many opportunities I've had. And I'm also aware of my privilege and have been trying to use it for good. Have I made mistakes along the way? Probably. You live and you learn, right? Walking down memory lane while going through old photos, I remember many firsts of the past ten years —the first external event, the first team-building activity, the first community outreach campaign, the first leadership meeting, the first budget request, the first conference, the first strategic planning, the first business trip, the first time I couldn't meet my goal, and the first time I did— and each of these moments has taught me a lesson. I cannot help but look back and be proud of who and where I am today, and proud of the organization I work for and the people who make it. SAP is a land of opportunity, and it's my job to ensure we are building an inclusive, welcoming workplace for all, where no matter who you are, your voice will matter. How did I get so lucky? ¿Qué significan el orgullo y la inclusión para vos? 🌈

El #MesDelOrgullo se vive así en SAP México 🌈🇲🇽 El equipo de #PrideAtSAP liderado por ALEJANDRO MARTINEZ LECHUGA y Salomón M. organizó un evento espectacular esta semana, moderado por la incomparable Minina, y con la participación de grandes invitades. En estas dos horas y media que compartimos con más de ochenta personas onsite y remoto, pudimos charlar sobre las experiencias y prácticas de inclusión #LGBTQIA+ en SAP durante un panel en el que participé junto a Angel Morfin Wolf, Michelle Teresa Hernández Ortiz y ALEJANDRO MARTINEZ LECHUGA, y también tuvimos presentaciones de Pride Connection, para derribar prejuicios y estereotipos, y de la organización Pintando Arcoíris, que promueve la inclusión de personas adultas mayores LGBTQIA+. Además, Rui Botelho, Presidente de SAP México, contó sus perspectivas sobre la importancia de construir espacios de trabajo inclusivos, y Minina nos regaló un show de lip-sync increíble 🎉🍾 Gracias equipo por organizar estos espacios tan necesarios de sensibilización y celebración. ¡Nos vemos en la marcha el 29 de junio! 🙏🏻 Eugenia Alix James Joel Esteban

Junio es el Mes del Orgullo LGBTQIA+ 🌈 ¿Qué es el ORGULLO para mí? Creo que lo resumiría como la libertad de ser y de sentir. Suena lindo, ¿no? Sin embargo, no sé si esa libertad es tan real. ¿Sabías que son más de 60 los países en el mundo que aún criminalizan los actos sexuales consensuados entre personas del mismo sexo? Quizá pienses que en Latinoamérica no estamos tan mal... Y puede que tengas razón, pero ¿debería reconfortarnos eso? Cuando nuestra libertad depende del lugar en el que estemos y de las personas que nos rodean, y del gobierno de turno, esa libertad no existe. Si te estás preguntando cómo están las cosas en nuestra región, te cuento: - Recientemente, el gobierno de Perú clasificó a la identidad trans como un "problema mental". - En mi país, Argentina, los discursos de odio van en aumento, alentados desde las más altas esferas del poder, y hoy tenemos que lamentar la muerte de tres mujeres luego de un ataque lesboodiante. - Brasil es el país con más muertes en el mundo por crímenes de odio, seguido en Latinoamérica por México. Y así, en distintas geografías, más allá de los grandes avances de las últimas seis décadas, pareciera que nuestras vidas valen menos, y derechos que creíamos conquistados vuelven a ser cuestionados. Entonces, ¿qué hacemos? No hay una única respuesta, y varía de acuerdo a tu identidad. Si no formás parte de la comunidad LGBTQIA+, te invito a que conozcas más sobre el movimiento y la historia de la lucha, y también te pido que siempre trates con respeto a ese otre, que no asumas nunca su identidad de género u orientación sexual, y que conozcas sus perspectivas y experiencias. Y para vos, amigue LGBTQIA+, qué más decirte que deseo que seas feliz y que puedas ser vos hoy y siempre, y que sientas ORGULLO de quien sos. A couple of weeks ago I traveled to São Paulo for the Out & Equal LATAM Forum, and I was lucky to get to work at the SAP office during the week and meet in person with many colleagues and friends, some of them for the very first time. Loved hearing from Cristina Palmaka and Adriana Aroulho on their views on #diversity, #equity and #inclusion and how to continue improving things for our people at SAP; getting to spend many meals with my manager Paula Jacomo and the Brazil HR team made up of Fernanda Saraiva, Eliane A Peão De Mitry and Rodrigo Redorat, among others; sharing some quality time with our employee resource groups, allies and sponsors, and with our Talent to Watch graduates; and finally getting to see long-time collaborators like Carolina Pierri, Caroline Costa, Gloria Sandi, MBA and Katie Booth. Thank you to everyone for making my stay in your city so pleasant. Can’t wait to come back! 🇧🇷♥️

May 18 is HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. The journey toward an HIV vaccine has been ongoing for decades, marked by significant scientific advancements and relentless dedication. Despite the challenges, researchers have made tremendous progress, bringing us closer to a world where HIV can be prevented through vaccination. We recognize the importance of these efforts and are committed to supporting our colleagues living with HIV and other chronic conditions. Today, on HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, let's honor these efforts and continue to support this critical research. At SAP, through our global campaign #workingpositively, in partnership with IBM, we are looking to create work environments that are more inclusive and respectful of people living with HIV.
