I joined Statsig later than I hoped, but I still saw its three-year journey. 2020 was important for me. I became a better data scientist -- effective, pragmatic, and ironically, "are right, a lot" -- one of Amazon's leadership principles that I found most puzzling. A big reason was building the conviction of the value of data through AB testing. After 6 years in PhD and 2 years at Amazon, I doubted if data really helped businesses. At Facebook, I learned it does. I used data to make key decisions and prove them with experiments. Such conviction is still paying dividends today. Facebook's AB testing tool was great, but I couldn't talk about it much. It was internal. When Vijaye R. started a company to make a similar tool, I interviewed him (https://lnkd.in/gGRqTjRg) and asked for a demo (https://lnkd.in/gnA_cjpy). Rewatching it today, you will find that the product has matured a LOT, but the technical insights and the mission remain the same. I believed in this business a lot, maybe more than most of the founding members. This tool needs to be built, and they're the right people for it. I wished them luck and continued my journey. Two years later, with all the learning and growth, I was back. It almost felt like gravity. Because Statsig is about the mission all along -- make data useful.
Three Years? Really? It feels just like yesterday, a few of us got together and started a company. In a blink of an eye, three years have flown by. Today, I feel proud for having built this incredible team - this team that has crafted amazing products, stood up a strong business, supported thousands of customers large and small, forged everlasting friendships, shared life milestones including welcoming Statsig babies, and more. I have shared this internally many times before: Statsig’s only moat is this team’s ability to out-execute competition. Here’s to many more accomplishments! Happy 3rd Anniversary, Statsig!!

How was your week, friends? Maybe you chalked up some big wins and you’re celebrating. Yay, you! 🎉 Then again, maybe you didn’t. You know what? Yay, you, too! 🎉 In the community I lead, The Hive, we have a Friday ritual of celebrating wins big AND small. 🐝 Maybe you finally tackled a task you’ve been putting off. 🐝 Maybe you made it through a difficult call and survived. 🐝 Maybe you took some time away from screens and just got outside. Big wins are noisy. They’re easy to see and celebrate. But don’t lose sight of the little things you accomplish along the way. Comment below: what’s one SMALL win you can celebrate this week?

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to reach out to share something that connects with my passion for supporting others and helping create success. I am sure you can relate...I’ve had moments of regret for not taking opportunities in the past, like investing in companies that have since become giants in their industry. However, I’m filled with hope about a new opportunity that seems like it could be the one that doesn’t slip away. On March 1st, a new rideshare company launched in Miami, and I believe it is key to success to many of us. REVO is launching in New Orleans on 3/17/24 and spreading Nationwide in the coming months! Ground floor opportunities! You don’t need to make any investments to be a part of this. That’s right, ZERO INVESTMENT NEEDED. There are four different ways you can get involved: 1. Spread the word: If you know rideshare drivers, simply share this new company’s information with them. Not only will they benefit from increased earnings, but you’ll also earn a share of every ride they complete. It’s a win-win for everyone involved. 2. Refer friends: Send the app link to your friends who use rideshare services. Every time they ride, you earn, and it won’t cost them anything extra. Again, it’s a win-win situation. 3. Build a network: Enroll 60 people, whether they’re drivers or riders, by March 15th, and you’ll earn a share of this new company. It’s an opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning, and together, we can all succeed. Another win-win! 4. Drive for the company: If you’re interested in becoming a driver, this company offers ALL the fare minus $1, compared to only half offered by other rideshare companies. Plus, the owner is committed to giving back to the community by changing the rideshare industry, which makes it even more rewarding. I understand that joining something new can seem scary, but I want you to know I am here to help you. The owner of this company is not only smart but also committed to making a positive impact. This is an opportunity to be part of something potentially life changing. If you’re interested or have any questions, please reach out to me. You can also become a part of the team through this link: https://lnkd.in/gkdibsZU

Today I’m celebrating 1 year of being WOAW’s CEO 🎉 Taking on this opportunity actually changed my life in a massive way. Looking back over the last 12 months, it’s surreal to think how much we’ve achieved. Some of it is the more generic - satisfying, yes - but generic stuff. • More than doubled revenue • Produced better work for clients than ever before • Offered new services But beyond the surface, there’s been so much more. • Formulated an exciting plan for the future, which we’re all aligned on • Cultivated a group environment which encourages creativity and happiness • Changed our structure and processes to make us stronger and more efficient • Experienced massive highs and some really difficult challenges • Expanded our network - our friends of WOAW - which boasts some of the brightest minds and most talented people imaginable • Internally, we’ve challenged each other and held one another accountable • I’ve developed as person in ways I’m really proud of • Had a fucking good time In some ways it feels crazy it’s only been one year. In others it feels like a lifetime of work has gone into it. Here’s to the next year and all we’re aiming to achieve. Who’s in for the ride? 🙋♂️
