Tomorrow June 21st, the world comes together to celebrate International Yoga Day. This is the day we recognise the ancient Indian practice of yoga and its profound impact on physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Sanskrit words "yuj," meaning "to yoke" or "to unite," and it embodies the philosophy of bringing harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. More than physical postures, it is a holistic approach to health which integrates breathing exercises, meditation, and ethical principles of individuals. 2024 Theme is "Yoga for Self and Society," which captures the essence of ancient practice. It is not just about Yoga it is also individual well-being, fosters a connection between the inner self and the outer world. Imagine yoga as a balancing act that harmonises mind and body, aligns thought with action, and unites discipline with personal fulfilment.
