Had a great conversation with my friend Vignesh Rajagopal for his podcast Fika Bytes, where he speaks to a variety of hardware tech founders about their experiences creating and launching tech products. During this podcast, we deep dived into the challenges of starting a tech company, how we were able to bring Pulse Devices, LLC to life, and some of the most important lessons I've learned as an entrepreneur. Check out the episode here: https://lnkd.in/eP5Rf4YF P.S. if you're a hardware tech founder that wants to share your story definitely reach out to Vignesh!

Today is a big milestone for me. After 2.5 years since starting Pulse Devices, LLC, I'm finally moving into an apartment in NYC. Paid by me. Since starting the company, I've done countless random jobs and side hustles to allow me to continue making this dream a reality, which included everything from being a Whole Foods bagger to dog sitting to flipping furniture. I've had months on end where I had no idea how I was going to pay my bills or if we were going to be able to keep the business afloat. There were numerous times where I found myself wondering if I chose the right path. Although the journey is far from over and Pulse is just getting started, being able to afford my own apartment has been one of the biggest pieces of reassurance I've gotten thus far. And it feels so damn good. Social media often glorifies the entrepreneurial lifestyle, but what they don't show you is the lack of stability, sleepless nights, endless amounts of work, and the absolute grit that it takes to start your own business. To any entrepreneurs reading, I'd like to leave you with this: Keep going. Everything great takes time. Great products/services sell themselves. And always make sure to over budget! Now time to take our product and brand to the next level. 🚀 #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur #startup #innovation #motivation

Can't wait to see where this goes!
CEO @ Cloaked | Protecting your privacy online & in real life | Forbes 30 Under 30 | Investor | Humanitarian
I’m excited to finally announce what I’ve been quietly up to for a little while. My brother Abhijay Bhatnagar and I have been building cloaked, a consumer-first privacy company for a little more than a year now after raising money from Human Capital, Peter Thiel, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lux Capital, Phil Libin's All Turtles, Next Play Ventures, and Chainsmokers' MANTIS Venture Capital. We founded Cloaked because we believe that people should be able to freely use technology and share information while preserving privacy. In practical terms that means you decide who knows what about you. Starting at its simplest form, I want someone to be able to give out their phone number or email without it being used against them. For our first product cloaked works by creating “unlimited identities” — unique emails, phone numbers, passwords, credit card, etc. — that are singular to a given website, company, or person. Each time you need to make an account, Cloaked creates whatever is needed on the fly and will help your privacy by replacing existing information with “cloaked information.” Once your cloaks are made, cloaked acts as your password manager. In Q1 we are launching our private beta testing cohorts, and I’d love for all of you to be a part of it! Check it out on www.cloaked.app!

I am officially a Co-Founder of the fitness technology startup Pulse Devices, LLC! Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point. I am forever grateful for the support system that I have. I can't wait to see where the rest of this journey takes me. Just wanted to share a quick backstory- 2018: I presented this idea to Northeastern University's on-campus product development studio called Generate, which is a team of engineers that will make a number of students ideas free of charge every year. Although they expressed interest in the product concept, they didn't have the resources to make it a reality. With no money to spend, the idea was put on hold. 2019: I partnered up with my lifelong friend and workout buddy and we began the search for an affordable product development studio that could help make our product come to life. After many months of searching, we stumbled upon Modaliti Design, a small design team based in Salt Lake City, UT that believed in our product concept just as much as we did. With their help, we began countless hours of research, design, and prototyping. 2020: The idea started to become a reality, but it still wasn't all sunshine and rainbows because bills had to be paid. I ended up picking up a shift job at Whole Foods so that I could pay my rent. Eventually we were able to put together a good enough prototype to show potential investors and we began the search for funding. Everything was starting to come together. 2021: In February, we were blessed to be able to secure funding so that we could refine our prototype, create an app, and purchase our first round of inventory. Our first product order is now in route, our smartphone apps are about to be finished, our pre-sale just launched on our website, and I still work at Whole Foods! It has been one hell of a ride and I can't wait for what's in store. Moral of the story: good things take time, always believe in yourself, and hard work definitely pays off. #startup #technology #entreprenership
Introducing the Pulse Device, the first ever fitness wearable built to strengthen your mind-muscle connection. The Pulse Device uses vibration technology to help lifters target and activate specific muscles. During your workout, the Pulse Device releases vibrations that mimic a tapping feeling onto the muscles that you stick them to, repeatedly drawing your attention back to those muscles while improving your muscle engagement. This product is based on an old bodybuilding technique called muscle tapping, where your spotter gently taps on the muscle that you're training while you do an exercise. By replicating this tapping feeling with low-frequency vibrations, the Pulse Device allows users to optimize their workouts and target muscles that they might normally struggle to activate. Each device is controlled using our proprietary smartphone app. Simply select what muscle you're training and adjust the strength of the vibration based on how you're feeling. Benefits include but are not limited to: improved focus, stronger contractions, and better muscle activation. Learn more at PulseDevice.com #fitness #technology #startups
