🌊The ocean accounts for 70% of our beautiful blue star, and it is also closely related to our lives. 🐟🐢🐙This year's WOD's common action topic is "Tides are changing", encouraging everyone to have the ability and responsibility to do their part for this matter. There are a variety of ways we can choose to live peacefully with our oceans: beach cleanups, plastic reduction, eco-friendly music festivals…there are many good ones. We have always advocated the use of YCM anti-mildew stickers instead of silicone desiccants. These small bags are not biodegradable and difficult to recycle. 🌍When we throw them in the trash, they end up in landfills or the ocean, where they stay indefinitely or become tiny molecules that start wandering and can end up in our food. Over the years, we have prevented 2 billion packs of desiccant waste from being generated, and we will continue to find ways to cause the least harm to the environment, and work together for a future! #mold #fungus #zero_mold_zero_waste

Why is Carrot in Renholdsnytt? 🧽💥 Well, through partnerships with facility management companies like ISS Facility Services Norge - we can help property managers and their tenants to improve on sorting, reduce residual waste, cut costs and meet reporting requirements♻️ Tenants waste is easily registered as it is picked up by the facility manager🚮 Knowing who throws what, we can motivate tenants to improve on sorting by giving them insight into their own sorting results, comparing them to others, and financially reward those who are good at sorting💸 In addition, our software makes it possible for property managers to follow up tenants, and keep track of results📊 Head of Cleaning Products & Performance at ISS Facility Services, Stig Ronander, says: "I expect that there will be more waste requirements in the future, not only for sorting, but also for reporting. Measuring waste will be extremely important"🚯📄 Thanks to Trond Erik Hillestad for a great article: https://lnkd.in/dTDDDtde 🌟 Jon André Stokset Lund Mari Larsen Sæther Sivert André Belsby Marianne Grimsøen Markus Eide Bø Monica Costa Gåseide

This year's theme, "Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-Determination," shows how young people shape their communities and protect their values for the future. Join our young champions in making a difference, one feeder at a time! From Waste to Feast! Embracing Sustainability Crafting bird feeders from old bottles is a significant step towards improving the lives of our feathered friends and creating a better world. These seemingly modest creations yield substantial effects, benefiting both the birds and those eager to learn more about the natural world. By creating bird feeders, children can address two important problems simultaneously. First, birds require a dependable food source, especially during times when food might be scarce. Second, these bird feeders serve as compelling reminders of the necessity to care for our environment. Engaging in this process compels us to contemplate how our choices and actions influence the world at large. Creating these feeders offers a learning opportunity in upcycling and encourages children to think outside the box. Each feeder makes a small yet significant statement against the growing issue of plastic pollution, demonstrating that even discarded items can find renewed purpose and contribute positively to our surroundings. Furthermore, these feeders motivate children to reconnect with nature. It's a seemingly minor action, but it can alter our perspective and inspire us to take further steps toward safeguarding the environment.

We educate and train organization's Sustainability / ESG team to align activities and investments with positive impacts that bring no harm to environment for the benefit of SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
Have you ever pick up a trash around your home or at workplace compound? If you have never, in conjunction with International Volunteer Day this month, I suggest you just do trash clean up 5 mins a day or once a week, you are already volunteering doing a good cause. Volunteering for a good cause does not need to do big or go far, simple act to clean up and ensure your home / workplace area trash free, 3R at home and in workplace to reduce waste to landfills, plant some pollinators flowers to provide food source for bees, butterflies and their polly friends, plant a bamboo pagar to capture carbon, also provide more oxygen, which cools the air, ensuring your environment is clean, tidy, keeping the biodiversity in your compound healthy is good enough within your capacity, and now imagine if everyone does the same, then you won't have trash clog the drain, no trash / waste flow into river, the ocean is then plastic free and waste free, hence, no need countless and endless river and beach clean out, which only addresses the symptoms of the problem but did not solve the root cause of the problem, right? Then less water pollution, less money spend on treating pollution and less money spend on flood and other climate risk disaster, agree? ....taking this opportunity, to share 3 reasons why I give my time as a volunteer... thank you to #OurBetterWorld for this reel:) Looking for a platform to kick start your volunteerism by taking Actions for SDGs, bring your sun hat, book a slot with me and come to our River Three Park on any Saturday. https://lnkd.in/gGtXKy3s

[new work] The theme of this installation is “reincarnation” inspired by “Wattsu River” in Hokkaido, Japan. Raindrops falling from the sky run down the mountain and become part of the river, enriching our lives. The river’s water that flows out to the sea returns to the sky and reincarnation and reconnects with our lives. To feel Hokkaido’s magnificent nature, this installation expresses the dynamic flow of nature’s reincarnation. https://lnkd.in/gpXAxzEe

🌞 On International E-Waste Day, let's shine a light on a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of electronic waste - photovoltaic (PV) panels. ♻️ PV panels play a significant role in our transition to sustainable energy, but we often forget that they too have a lifespan. Proper end-of-life management is essential. 🌿☀️
Tomorrow, we celebrate the International E-waste Day 🥂 Let's join us 🤲 and communicate it broadly to incentivize good practices!
