What a tough job it must be to design a non-green rugby jersey for a country obsessed with green (and gold). Personally, I'm not a massive fan of the turquoise, but if they keep playing like that, it will grow on me! What are the branding experts' views on the jersey, and the pros and cons of something this radically different? PS In case you're confused by which "green" to support the next 7 weeks, here's a reminder of the 3 greens that matter. Oh and thanks Primedia Outdoor for the photo of the billboard.

“ When even the designer describes the kit as “bold”, you know you’re in choppy waters. Somewhat torn by whether it’s merely a discarded sevens kit or actually a really fun concept. Would be somewhat hypocritical to criticise a kit for being a bit much when others in this list are so dull, but I also don’t know if I can look at it hungover. It’s punchy and polarising.”

It would be interesting to know what the brief was as well as the creative rationale. Change is a tough process hey!

I’ve said my say politely. Even if it’s for colour blind people, I can’t believe a diluted of the green and gold wasn’t an option. Toooooo faaaaaar awaaaaay from a beloved and iconic brand. Nuts.
