After earning my undergrad degree, I eagerly dove into the job market, hungry for success. However, my first encounters were not as smooth as I had hoped. Rejections from giants like IBM and TCS hit hard, but I refused to let them define my path. I recognised the importance of communication skills and tirelessly worked on refining them. The tenacity paid off when I reapplied to TCS and secured a spot. I seized the opportunity, absorbed knowledge, and clocked in 2.5 years of valuable experience. Little did I know that a global calling awaited me. As the world grappled with the challenges of the pandemic, I found myself at a crossroads. Instead of succumbing to uncertainty, I made a bold decision to elevate my learning to a global level. I bid farewell to my comfort zone, resigned from my job, and geared up for a new chapter. Starting from zero wasn't a deterrent; it was an exhilarating challenge. The journey was marked by uncertainty, yet I refused to hesitate. Today, as I embark on a new career abroad, I reflect on the journey that brought me here. Here's the takeaway for all you amazing professionals out there: 🌟 Always be prepared for a fresh start; it's the gateway to new opportunities. 🌟 Never fear beginning anew, as it paves the way for growth. 🌟 The magic lies in daring to rewrite your story, even if it means starting from zero. 1 year at Epam 🎊 I joined Epam a year ago on Dec 8th, and that was magic, as I have my birthday in December. It was like a gift for me, especially because I had been searching for my dream job for a year. I did a lot for my personal and professional growth: - improved my English-speaking skills - learned how power query and power bi work for building up reports - attended 10+ internal trainings on presentation excellence, successful negotiations, effective meetings and facilitation, people motivation and AI tools and applications. - got to know lots of new people who inspire me to become a better self and bring joy to our working lives. - finished a touch-typing course and will continue improving my typing speed - encouraged people for virtual gatherings to establish connection and have some fun: a virtual birthday and a catch-up party, Summer Stories and Halloween gatherings with turned-on cameras❤️ - read 10+ books on people's motivation, data visualization, remote team management and leadership (my top three are: Storytelling with data , Management 3.0, and Punished by Rewards 😍 I still have a lot to learn about people relationships, leadership, and analytics, though the start has been made! The success and satisfaction of everyone involved is something you can measure: There have been 32445 applications in the past two years and a half. And 85% of those who applied are still at Globant.
