So, here we are... senseia is posting for the very first time on LinkedIn. Are we too late to the party? Why have we waited so long? We didn't just want to add to the noise. And when it comes to psychological safety, diversity, and discrimination – there's a lot of noise out there, much of it just polarised opinions vying for authority in the space.
Since 2018, senseia has been beavering away, helping organisations to dial down dysfunction and remove toxic behaviours from the workplace - especially behaviours that close down dialogue, generate fear and fuel discrimination, harassment and bullying. It's rarely talked about, but the truth is - toxic behaviour is the result of a lack of psychological safety - as well as being the cause of it. Until we accept this profound truth, nothing will change.
So why reach out now? We think the collective narrative is still missing the point. If organisations continue to treat inclusion as a piece of corporate etiquette, people will continue to resist it, especially those who fear change and uncertainty. Being inclusive can't be mandated via policy. It's an attitude. It's simply having the courage to be open to what we don't know, especially when it comes to people. Without curiosity, we have a limited line of sight. With it, we can utilise the full potential of the organisation, which will drive performance and motivation and stretch our imaginations beyond the limits of our experiences.
senseia helps organisations to be authentically inclusive - to feel it and feel the benefits of it, with everyone in the workplace feeling psychologically safe enough to contribute and be heard. And instead of just adding to noise, we've been very successful. Successful in creating real cultural change at the heart of some of our most powerful organisations. We are now being heard and our work valued. We feel now's a good time to spread the word.
To hear more about our work, you might like to join us on Friday 24th May between 1-2pm for the Police Foundation webinar. We'll be appearing alongside Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman and temp. Chief Constable Jim Colwell who will be sharing their experiences of working with us; literally telling the world about the work we've done, changing the culture of policing in North Wales and Devon and Cornwall Police respectively.
