The lesson? Dont wear red ties... ๐คฃ
๐ก Here are the differences between bad, good, and great leadership (in life and business): Bad leaders leave you wishing, "๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ '๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐." Good leaders leave you thinking, "๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐'๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐." Great leaders leave you imagining, "๐พ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐?" Be great!
Nothing worse than a leader that takes credit for the team's efforts Eric. The trouble I've seen is that management usually rewards them for this behavior while their team heads for the door.
Always give credit. To your employees, your team, your counterparts in other departments, etc. Never take credit. People know when you've done something good, so spreading the credit around is the easiest way to build internal equity.
The giving vs taking credit one is huge. You see it all the time in the corporate world. And it's a dead giveaway to distinguish the bosses from the leaders.
Love the "Let's Go" one. So much better to work "with" people than to expect them to work "for" you.
Eric, These courses are a fantastic resource for anyone looking to distinguish themselves as a true leader rather than just a boss.
Be the leader you've always wanted, not the boss you've always hated Eric Partaker!
Wow! That golf swing metaphor really hurts to watch ๐โ๏ธ๐
A leader builds others up while a boss holds others down.
