What makes a #strategy successful? First, when it is not the vision of an isolated individual or the routine process of highly paid consultants, but the result of a collaborative #teamwork. Second, when it is shared, supported and implemented by the whole Company following a clear, transparent and participative internal #communication. Third, when it is accompanied by a strong, genuine and consistent Company #Culture underpinned by clear and attractive Company #values and #purpose. Well, this week marked a major step in the successful #execution of our new Europcar Mobility Group #Exceed strategy. As a Group Executive Committee, we presented to the whole 9000 employees worldwide in a short « EMG Talk » video followed by an online live Q&A session the strategy we have elaborated together as a team over the last few months. From what I could judge in the numerous questions and comments received, there is a global #alignment and support for the strategic initiatives and priorities we presented. Looking forward now to the next steps in the implementation of the strategy and #activation of our Company values, guiding us through the deep #transformation of our business. As Oscar Wilde once said, "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken", so who is Rachel Palmer? 👩 After five rewarding years in a HR generalist role, I found my true calling and took a leap into this incredible role of Engagement, Wellbeing & Inclusion Business Partner for ERIKS UK & Ireland in February of this year and what a journey it has been so far.  ❓ You might ask, what is my job? If you asked my husband, he'd tease about me talking all day and how can that really be a job! However, I call it being inquisitive! 🛣 I'm on a mission to understand, connect, and support our amazing colleagues. My role involves implementing plans for wellbeing, creating spaces for sharing stories, and establishing support systems—all geared toward fostering an inclusive environment. In simple terms, it's about putting plans into action. ✈ My career wasn't always in the HR field. With 18 years in the travel industry, I got to explore the world whether working on cruise ships to inspecting hotels, it was all about learning about the different diverse cultures and meeting people.  🔉 Whilst I no longer get to travel the world, my passion still lies in interacting with people and understanding what makes each individual unique and them! ❤️ Beyond my role, my heart still belongs to travel.  Always deciding where to visit next – it is a big world out there!.  And a word of warning, if you mention travel, be prepared for a million questions – I love to learn where people have travelled to and where they are going! 🗺 Travel, for me, is the ultimate wellbeing reward—a chance to switch off and recharge. ⁉ I'd love to hear from you!
