It was a real pleasure to participate in the first Amazon Web Services (AWS) #GenAI Roadshow in Mexico and be able to showcase our Generative AI demos with over 300 executives from diverse industries. Work hard: Check ✅️ I worked hard preparing for this event, BUT I also had a lot of fun 'tricking' the #MachineLearning model to draw my dog #Pedro (a #Frenchie) when the ML model was trained only to identify human faces. I had to draw Pedro's BIG ears myself to complete the funny portrait! Have Fun: Check ✅️ Together with our customers, we are making history with Generative AI in #Mexico. Amazing time at AWS Summit NYC last week. It was a great experience to connect with our customers and colleagues and come across multiple new announcements from AWS in the most exciting area of GenAI. AWS is creating the whole eco-System where many foundation GenAI models like Titan from AWS are available along with CLAUDE 2 models from Anthropic.ai or JURASSIC -2 models from AI21 labs within Amazon Bedrock ecosystem. We all know GenAI can be used in many areas like customer experience, business operations or creative content production and we need specific foundation models to realise the power of GenAI. So availability of many 3rd party models with Bedrock ecosystem along with Agents for Amazon Bedrock will be a game changer. 🚀🚀🚀 Generative AI on Amazon Web Services (AWS) just arrived to Spain 🇪🇸!!!! For years as a pro athlete, I've lived a disciplined life, full of sacrifices and intense training. It's been a journey of hard work and dedication. Today, I want to discuss a crucial aspect: training with the best ones to become a better runner. Surrounding yourself with faster athletes pushes you to constantly improve and give your best. When I first joined AWS, I felt the same way. Being around such talented people, I knew I had to give my all to stand out and not get lost in the crowd. Just hours ago, I got my copy of "Generative AI on AWS" by authors Chris Fregly, Antje Barth and Shelbee Eigenbrode published by O'Reilly. It's a fantastic book, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the field. But what struck me the most was realizing that I work alongside these brilliant minds. Engaging in discussions, attending meetings, and learning from them is a privilege. It's a reminder of how fortunate I am and the responsibility I have to continually push myself forward. Congrats to the authors on the new book! I've just started reading the first few pages and it already looks promising. Not a surprise given the talent involved, but definitely worth mentioning. Seems like AWS is really stepping up its game in GenAI. Using the recently released Knowledge base and Agents on Amazon Bedrock, it took me less than an hour to develop a prototype chatbot which uses the data available on ruter.no and visitoslo.com to help me find the right information about Oslo's public transportation 🚍 🔥 🚍 Not only does it give the correct info, but it also provides context and sources for fact-checking. This makes it a lot easier for Ruter As to offer AI Copilot integrations across its diverse services. #ruter #aws #genai

Some interesting data points from 2023: 🚙 137 million people used Uber, w/ 88 million using Uber Eats 🛣️ 9.4 billion (yes, billion) trips were completed in 2023.
