At enkotherm, gas heat exchangers play an increasingly important role within the product range. Gas heat exchangers are used for dehumidification and drying processes on biogas and sewage gas plants but also for upgrading biogas into biomethane. Other applications are cooling of N2, O2, H2 or CO2 recovery. We are delighted that many well-known plant manufacturers use our gas heat exchangers for projects all over Europe and even worldwide. Just recently, the first gas coolers were delivered for projects in South America. In Biogas Projects, the raw gas coming from Anerobic Digester is having CH4 of 60% Vol, 39.7% of CO2 & H2S of 1500 ppmv. The Flow measurement of raw gas consisting of H2S from Digester to (i) flare or to (ii) Gas Purification Plant shall be carried out through either thermal mass flow meter (then correct MOC of sensor to save from H2S) or Ultrasonic Flow Meter (having titanium sensor and tip exposed to process media-H2S). In general, which type of flow meter is used in Biogas Generation for measuring raw gas flow. Please suggest for long run benefit in the Project irrespective of Capex being involved.

Revenue depends on reliable delivery to a user, not to a flare. That’s why product gas compression is perhaps the most important part of an RNG system. So, when a customer called Com-Pac Systems recently concerned about maintenance on their 5 stage Ariel compressor package, concern was immediate. The customer mentioned that the system had been functional for 3-1/2 years and they were very concerned about maintenance….the lack of it!
