The galas, It was quite an eventful night. I had the moment to catch up with people on meaningful convos. It was also a time to showcase one's aesthetic moves on the dance floor. 🕺💃 I had dart game challenge with a colleague [a fellow soldier in the field in another city]. The major highlight of the night for me was the presentation of awards, while it may seem like a night of fun and entertainment, there's actually a lot of value in gala night hosted by companies. I gained the following insights: 🤳Awarding your staff is an important way to show them that their efforts are valued and appreciated. It's also a great way to motivate them to continue performing at their best. 🤳When employees feel recognized and rewarded for their hard work, they're more likely to feel invested in the company's success and motivated to do their best. 🤳It also help create a positive work culture, where employees feel encouraged and supported. And, of course, the recognition can go a long way towards making your employees feel good about themselves and their contributions. And these can lead to better collaboration, increased productivity, and a stronger sense of teamwork. Last week - the Valiant Events team headed off to Hobart for our new financial year conference. We spent four days, learning, sharing and laughing a lot. Spending this time with my team; three things really stood out about the incredible people that make up the Valiant team: Bravery - while sharing our personal branding pathways; I learnt so much about the brave decisions and scenarios each and everyone of the team have faced in their own ways. All of us have made bold choices and overcome many hurdles to end up together in that room in Hobart - and it was incredibly inspiring. Vulnerability - the entire team presented their true selves and were so open and honest with their stories, their strengths and their struggles. Above all else; it makes me incredibly proud to be a part of fostering an environment that allows the team to feel as though they can be their authentic self. Friendship - Every minute we spent together can only be described as joyful. Cliché as it sounds; or connections in so many ways surpass that of collages. There were so many laughs and so much support. I am excited knowing that in my team I know I have friends for life. In four days - I really understand we have something special. The Valiant - Hire with Style point of difference at it's core is our people. When you work with our teams, you are working with Brave, Authentic and Experienced individuals; that have a passion for what they do; and are extremely invested in seeing you succeed.

I am so glad that we have successfully organised a corporate event recently together with my team, the very first signing ceremony since I joined CGC Digital. Here are the top 3 lessons learned for me: 1. Prepare, prepare and prepare: Behind every successful event, lies detailed planning and preparation. Setting the objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, crafting event rundown. More importantly, prepare for the worst and develop a contingency plan for the actual day. 2. Ask, ask and ask: Staying curious is the key. There is no such thing as a stupid question. None of us is perfect so we may have missed out somehow or other. Start asking Who, What, Why, When, Where, How and How Much, it will help you to be crystal clear in what you do. 3. Communicate, communicate and communicate: I can't stress enough the importance of clear and timely communication especially when you are nearer to the actual day. Being part of a smaller outfit, each of us will have to put on multiple hats to ensure things get done smoothly, so being able to communicate well is critically important! Of course, it is also essential to take a moment to celebrate milestones achieved and take pride in our hard work.
