Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊 Today, we celebrate the incredible beauty and importance of our oceans. 🌍 At Waterise, we are committed to protecting and preserving our oceans for future generations. As pioneers in subsea desalination, we rely on the health of our oceans to provide sustainable freshwater solutions. Here are a few ways you can join us in making a difference: Reduce Plastic Use: Say no to single-use plastics and opt for reusable alternatives. Support Sustainable Seafood: Choose seafood that is sustainably sourced to help protect marine life. Participate in Beach Cleanups: Join local efforts to keep our beaches and oceans clean. Educate and Advocate: Spread awareness about ocean conservation and advocate for policies that protect our oceans. Together, we can create a wave of change! 🌊

I always love sharing ways we can easily incorporate sustainability into our lives - at work and at home. This short blog offers a few ideas from Return-it that will make a difference. Here are a few more ... With the money collected from beverage containers, make a donation to a local charity. Instead of exchanging gifts what about, having a donation bin for guests to add to the beverage container contribution. Then after the party/event share the collective total donated with every guest so they can realize & celebrate the ripple effect they created. If you're having a potluck, consider encouraging everyone to use reusable containers too. When washing dishes, fill the dishwasher, scape food off (into an organics bin) and don't pre-rinse to save water. Oh... and if you have a lot of food left over... can it be given to others, frozen for another day, or even donate the items if possible. Remember to be food safe too. How to keep your sustainable habits when on holiday: - Keep recycling – check out the local recycling rules and facilities where you are staying. - Conserve your water use. - Try not to buy too much food – plan out your meals and think about how much you will eat out. - Pick up your rubbish after picnics and BBQs. - Car share as much as possible. - Offset the carbon emissions of your journey. - Consider staying in an eco-home or hotel. - Explore the local wildlife, national parks or conservation areas to explore what nature has to offer where you are staying.

Today is EARTH DAY 🌎 - to Saving our future from all the negative effects of waste and greenhouse effects. * Stop using single use plastics (use UltraBLU for Sanitation of surfaces and charge phone clean) * Save water (Average family uses 300 gallons of H20 every day!) * Go Nontoxic at Home (Less toxic cleaning) * Reuse & Recycle (Preserve Earths resources) * Travel Sustainably (more biking, less car) * Build Green * Choose “Good Food” )Less cruel and inhumane to animals…and good healthy tasting foods are better for us in the big picture.) Today, June 8th, the world is celebrating International International Day of the #Ocean! 🌊 Did you know the ocean covers over 70% of our #planet and gives us at least 50% of the #oxygen we breathe? It's also a vital source of protein for over a billion people and home to most of #Earth's #biodiversity. But, our oceans are in danger. With 90% of big fish populations gone and 50% of coral reefs destroyed, we are taking more from the ocean than it can give. This year’s theme, “Awaken New Depths,” asks us to help the ocean recover. Here’s how you can help: - Reduce Plastic Use: Use less single-use plastic and choose reusable items to reduce ocean #pollution. - Support sustainable seafood: Pick seafood certified by #sustainability groups to support responsible fishing. - Participate in beach cleanups : Join local or global efforts to clean up beaches and protect marine life. - Spread the word: Share information and support policies that protect the ocean. Forests are one of the most important natural resources of our planet. Sustainable forest management is crucial for the preservation of our clean air, water sources, and biodiversity. As we celebrate Forest Week this year, we should also think about sustainability. In a time when we are facing global issues such as climate change and deforestation, efforts to protect and reforest our forests have become even more important. To this end, we are making a donation to the TEMA Foundation during Forest Week, as we do every year. You too can take small steps to protect our natural resources this week.
