How can you attract Talent? 👀 💸 Juicy Salary? Nope 👎 Attracting and retaining employees only for the sake of money is NOT a long-term strategy 😅 1. Thought leadership: Founders and leaders within the company should build their personal brand -> This is a channel to communicate the vision and the mission. Remember, people buy from people! 2. Share Options: give a piece of the cake! If employees own a part of the company, they'll be more incentivised to join and stay! 3. Mental Health support: employees want to feel looked after. Highly recommend Plumm to support your people. 4. Flexibility is everything: majority of the employees don't want to be 5 times per week in an office. Offer a hybrid environment and you'll have more chances to attract a bigger pool of talents. 5. Support their growth: offering L&D budget or time off is a great option to show how you want to support your employees in their personal and professional growth. What did I miss? 🧐👇🏼

Great insights! I'm slightly torn on #2 as I can definitely see it as motivating, but it could also lead to increased pressure on the Founder to sell the business at some point, possibly sooner than they intended... I came across an idea I liked, which is that employees get ownership of a certain part of the business (the example I saw was getting a share of the book sales) - that was they're still getting compensated for their work, but they don't own the core business itself. Thought it was an interesting approach anyway!😊

...and do not sweep anything under the carpet during the interview, it will surely backfire. If there are challenges, but rewards too, it is important that they are all shared at the beginning
