If this is not a frenzy of opportunities, I don't know what is? Petrobras just confirmed they have received 100 plus commercial proposals and 4 separate tenders related to the arrangement of offshore support vessels. They are giving signs that there will be a boost in overall upstream activities in the country. The company is in a verse to present its new revised strategic plan for the next five years. At least at a glance, it is clear they're the investments related to upstream activities, which shall remain a high priority, which indeed becomes a driver for many support activities and should try goods and services. This is excellent news for the market in Brazil, and it shows how important Petrobras is, which shows how it influences the behavior of this sector in the country. If we are looking for motives to think 2024 and beyond will be exciting years in Brazil, we have enough to guess a positive outcome of everything. We are in one of the most active regions in the world - and this is only for some things. We can tell that the sector has been working hard for years to enjoy this activity level. Likewise, my friends, like they say: hands-on! https://lnkd.in/dP3Vr3MV

𝗕𝗢𝗞𝗔 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 The engines of our diving support vessel BOKA Atlantis will run less frequently in the coming years. Not because of a lack of work – on the contrary – but because a set of powerful batteries was recently installed on board the vessel along the quay of the Boskalis Service Center in Rotterdam. The installation of this Energy Storage System will reduce the vessel’s fuel consumption and associated carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions by an average of up to twenty percent. The system also provides a power supply and energy storage facility while the BOKA Atlantis is docked and contributes to quieter and more efficient operations offshore. The BOKA Atlantis is our first vessel retrofitted with a 450 kWh battery pack. Currently, our diving support vessel BOKA Da Vinci is also undergoing this “green intervention” in Rotterdam, and more powerful offshore vessels will follow later this year. The installation of the Energy Storage Systems on board our diving support vessels is yet another great milestone in our efforts to make our fleet more sustainable. #Boskalis #CreatingNewHorizons #bokaatlantis #dsv #divingsupportvessel #offshoreenergy #energystoragesystem #batterypack #distinguishingassets

Our Q1 results are in! ⭐ Once again, another quarter of good revenue generation and operational success. As discussed in our results report today, 2024 is going to be an important year for us, with several of our rigs moving countries, fields and operators, while also coordinating multiple special periodic survey’s across our own and external fleet. 💬 CEO Kjetil Gjersdal comments: “Q1 has been a positive start to the year, with all units fully operational despite the challenging winter weather conditions offshore Norway and the unpredictable weather offshore Namibia. Thanks to a steady operational performance, we now have one of the most robust balance sheets amongst our peers. With firm backlog secured on all of our owned units until 2026, we expect to continue this trend.” 👉 Read the presentation: https://lnkd.in/dH66UgnA #OdfjellDrilling #Q1Results

Often you hear of new "sustainable vessels" being ordered. Here is a testimony about our vessel Henry P. Lading still going strong after servicing the offshore industry for seven decades – often in some of the harshest offshore condition. Being a barge, the fuel consumption is lower than most new installation vessel, and the resources allocated to build, upgrade and maintain the vessel over the years is only a fraction of most of its pears. Being sustainable is a long-term commitment with careful considerations and not a quick fix. #offshore #landsnet #sustainability #Vestmannaeyjar
A long-distance relationship which has so far lasted 55 years! Our Good Vessel “Henry P. Lading” have just returned to Denmark from Westman Islands off the South Coast of Iceland after completing the replacement of a part of the subsea power cable supplying the islands with power from the mainland. In doing so, Henry P. Lading and its crew continued a long-lasting special relationship between the vessel and these beautiful islands which started back in 1968. Back then the vessel and its crew brought a continuous flow of freshwater to the island for the first time. We would like to share some of the footage here, and you can read more about the special relationship and its effect on the islands, the offshore industry and Henry P. Lading and its crew on our webpage: https://lnkd.in/e9v4UQe8 The story of Henry P. Lading and its crew is a great testimony to the skills of Danish Seafarers and their ability to continuously develop, while building on the experience of present and past colleagues and their achievements.

🇫🇮 🚢 LNG-powered: World's biggest cruise ship, Icon of the seas, begins sea trials Icon is the first ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet that will use the more sustainable LNG fuel which is considered the cleanest burning fossil fuel available, resulting in virtually zero sulfur dioxides and particulates and a significant reduction in nitros oxides. Earlier this year, Tim Meyer, the CEO of Meyer Turku told Travel Weekly that LNG is the right fuel to use now, but it was also important to consider what may come in the future, so Icon was designed to ensure compatibility with future systems. #LNG #royalcaribbean #LNGasmarinefuel
